Designers praise Kate’s classic wedding gown

The world’s most high-profile fashion designers have praised Prince Williams bride Kate Middleton for her "classic" and "beautiful" wedding dress. The brunette beauty unveiled her highly-anticipated wedding gown to the world on her big day in London, putting an end to months of rumours over who had been given the task of designing the famous frock. Middleton chose Alexander McQueen designer Sarah Burton to make her wedding gown."She is very elegant. The dress is classic and goes very well in the Westminster decor. I love the modest veil with the Queen Mother’s Thirties scroll tiara and balanced volume of the whole gown. She’s radiant. She never was so beautiful,” said legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld.

Donatella Versace said, "Kate’s dress was beautiful. She looked very regal," while Hubert de Givenchy added, "The dress is very simple and very nice. The veil is a little flat, but because she has such a lovely face, she can afford to wear it this way. She is very pretty."

Kelly Brook to design maternity clothes

Model-actress Kelly Brook is set to design her own range of maternity clothes for British high street chain New Look.Brook, who is currently pregnant with her first child has got her own underwear and swimwear range with the popular store. "A few fun projects have come about because I am pregnant. New Look want me to do a maternity range for them to come out in June and I have been designing some rag dolls for a friend of mine who makes children’s toys."I still work with Reebok, who have been very supportive and are looking forward to seeing me get back in shape in September."

Angelina Jolie bags record £6.5mn ad deal

It has emerged that Angelina Jolie has signed a 6.45-million-pounds deal to become the new face of fashion label Louis Vuitton. The contract is believed to be a record for a single advertising campaign, beating the 3.2-million-pounds deal won by Catherine Zeta-Jones to promote T-Mobile. It dwarfs the 2.5-million-pounds Nicole Kidman was paid to be the face of Chanel perfume and 1.9-million-pounds Gwyneth Paltrow got from Estee Lauder. Reports in the US said, 35 year old, Hollywood babe Angelina is due to take part in a photo shoot with famed photographer Annie Leibowitz. The adverts for the French label will appear in newspapers and magazines later this year.

Gwyneth Paltrow becomes brand ambassador of Coach

Oscar winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow is the new face of US luxury leather goods brand ‘Coach’. The 38-year-old actress, who was previously associated with brands like Estee Lauder and Christian Dior, was signed as the brand ambassador by the label to celebrate their 70th anniversary. "I grew up in New York City and I’ve always thought of Coach as the quintessential New York brand. I’ll never forget getting my first Coach bag," said Paltrow. The brand’s president and executive creative director Reed Krakoff praised Gywneth as "a natural choice" for the company saying, "She embodies the spirit, energy and elegance of the Coach brand."

The ‘Country Song’ star’s ad campaign will be featured in select markets in Asia and Europe, including France, Spain, the UK, Portugal, and China. Paltrow follows in the footsteps of actress Kate Bosworth who has previously appeared in campaigns for the brand with Coach’s creative director calling her "the epitome of distinctive American style and poise".

Hilton, who has already established herself as a successful perfumer, will launch the range of creams and lotions soon.

Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry, who was involved in a bitter custody battle with her ex-boyfriend, seems to be back on normal terms with Gabriel Aubry.The former couple have decided to put their differences behind for the sake of their three-year-old daughter Nahla. The couple split last April and then Aubry, a French-Canadian model, filed court papers on December 30 seeking formal recognition as Nahla’s father and joint legal and physical custody.In January, Berry’s rep issued a statement saying, "Halle has serious concerns for her daughter's well-being while in the care of her father for any extended period of time."

A representative for Aubrey (34), responded. "The fact is that Gabriel is a caring father who shares custody of Nahla," the statement read.
