Christina Hendricks to create swimwear line

Actress Christina Hendricks is all set to create her own line of swimwear. "Christina is a US size 10 and weighs 154lbs but she can’t find a swimsuit that compliments her figure. So she started designing her own and is in talks to sign a deal. She loves her curves and doesn’t want to lose weight," said a source. "She wanted to create something other women can wear too. The plan is to start with swimwear and move into underwear and own clothing line," the source added.

Actress Christina Hendricks has revealed she loves high heels or going barefoot, but doesn’t wear flat shoes. The "Mad Men" actress, who is famed for her curvaceous figure, revealed she is a huge fan of high heels. "I’m either barefoot or in high heels. I’ve fallen madly in love with some Charlotte Olympia heels - they’ve got a big bow on them. If I find a pair that’s comfy and high then I pick them up," she said. Christina is not just passionate about shoes, she has very specific tastes when it comes to clothes and prefers to wear eclectic items that show off her waist where possible.

‘Mad Men’ star Christina Hendricks was pictured almost popping out of her corset as she helped Dame Vivienne Westwood launch her new flagship store and Palladium Jewellery Collection. The 35 year old, Hendricks, wore one of the designer’s iconic corset tops to the launch in Los Angeles, and topped it up with cigarette pants, black peep toes and a gold sparkly oak leaf brooch from the range. The actress had been unveiled as the face of Dame Vivienne’s Palladium collection at the start of this month. Meanwhile, the actress has also been busy over the last few weeks filming ‘I Don’t Know How She Does It’ with Sarah Jessica Parker in New York.

Christina Hendricks stores £533,000 bracelet in her cleavage

‘Mad Men’ star Christina Hendricks panicked at the Golden Globes after she dropped a 533,000-pound diamond bracelet- on loan to her from makers Chopard for the event. The 24-carat diamond piece of jewellery somehow slipped from her wrist at the start of the glittering Hollywood awards ceremony. The actress rushed from her table and, crouching as low as her figure-hugging red gown would allow, began frantically searching on the red carpet she had sashayed down barely a minute earlier for the bracelet. “It was one of the most heart-pounding, panic-filled moments of my life. I was asking ushers, officials, even press photographers if they had seen it or could help me look,” said Christina.

After a few moments “that felt like minutes,” an event worker found the bracelet. “I almost wept with relief,” Hendricks added. Her troubles didn’t end there. Taking her place once more in the auditorium Christina found she could no longer fasten the bracelet. So she tried stuffing it down her cleavage but her dress was just too tight for it. “It would have looked like a ghastly lump if a TV camera had panned to me,” the actress said.

And as she attempted to leave the auditorium to give her publicist the piece, two security guards stopped her. “I begged and pleaded with them. My face was as red as my dress and I was in a state of utter desperation, I could feel my heart pounding and I could see my publicist standing on the other side of the door,” she said.

Her anxiety melted the guards’ hearts, and the exit was opened just wide enough for Hendricks to hand the item to her aide. “It’s a good job that it was only the bracelet,” she sighed in relief after the awards.

Christina Hendricks obsessed for red hair

Hollywood actress Christina Hendricks’ red hair is a result of her childhood obsession with a fairy-tale character. The naturally blonde beauty insisted as a child she was "obsessed" with the children’s book ‘Anne Of Green Gables’ and started colouring her hair red at the age of ten to imitate her literary heroine. "When I was 10, I was obsessed with ‘Anne Of Green Gables’ and I wanted to have her beautiful red hair. So my mother said, ‘Let’s just go to the drugstore and get one of those cover-the-grey rinses!’ My hair was very blonde at the time but it went carrot red. I was over the moon - and I went back to that colour again and again.

Now the ‘Mad Men’ star has realised that the shade attracts a lot of attention and helps people identify her. "I’ve always attracted attention for the way I look and that’s not a bad thing if you’re trying to make your mark in the business. But after a while you just want people to notice you for your work!" said the 35-year-old actress.

The curvaceous beauty also said that her UK size 14 figure makes it tedious to convince designers to make her dresses, but she always opts for outfits that would make her look "pretty", regardless of their style.

"At the end of the day, you have to remind yourself to wear the things you love - go with what you think is pretty. I’m still struggling to get designers to give me some dresses," she added.

Christina Hendricks slams designers

‘Mad Men’ star Christina Hendricks has slammed designers who refuse to dress her because she doesn’t fit into their sample sizes.

The curvaceous actress, who is a US Size 10, says labels don’t make sample dresses in her size, leaving her with few options for events.

"They only lend out a size 0 or 2. So I’m still struggling for someone to give me a darn dress. People have been saying some nice, wonderful things about me. Yet not one designer in town will loan me a dress," said Hendricks.

Despite being bigger than the average Hollywood star, Hendricks, who was voted Sexiest Woman Alive by female readers of Esquire, insists she has never felt under pressure to lose weight.

"This has always been my size. I’ve worked on other shows with this same size but ‘Mad Men’ celebrates it and that is nice," she said.
