Susan Sarandon enjoying singledom

American actress Susan Sarandon is enjoying late-night dates after her break-up with longtime beau Tim Robbins.

And one of her favourite hangouts is SPiN, the ping pong club, where she is an investor.

Recently, the 63 year old star strolled in on Jan 5 evening to chat with one of her partners, 32 year old Jonathan Bricklin, and a few friends.

In December, just five days after splitting with Robbins, Bricklin met Sarandon for drinks at the Mermaid Oyster Bar.

Despite rumours of romance, the reps of the pair deny any involvement between them.

The Oscar winner was also spotted the Monday before New Year’s looking "quite happy" with a "younger-looking fellow" who wasn’t Bricklin at West Village bakery Creperie.

Susan Sarandon honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

American actress Susan Sarandon was presented with a top award at the Stockholm International Film Festival in Sweden.

The 63 year old Oscar winning actress was given the lifetime achievement award for her contribution to the world of cinema.

Swedish actor Gustaf Hammarsten handed the 15pound bronze horse statuette to Sarandon.

"The roles Susan Sarandon has played often gain a life of their own beyond the films themselves”, said Hammarsten.

"Reflection, seduction and rebellion animate her characters and seem to be the key tools in her repertoire."

Sarandon addressed the audience after receiving the award.

She said: "I am very happy that I’m still working, that I’m able to get jobs when a lot of people that I started out with are no longer working. I still have a really good time, and as long as that continues I’ll continue to do it."
