Kim Kardashian releases her debut music single

Kim Kardashian has made her foray into another facet of the entertainment industry – she has released her first official music single ‘Jam (Turn It Up)’. The excited 30-year-old mogul released her debut single on Ryan Seacrest’s KISS FM breakfast show. The poppy dance track, Jam (Turn It Up) was produced by hit record maker The Dream, who has worked with the likes of Rihanna, Beyonce and Kanye West. “It’s a fun dance song,” said Kim. “We played it in Tao in Vegas and the whole crowd was singing along in the end.” The singer revealed she was uneasy at first about trying something new. “I think it’s only normal for me to be nervous,” said the reality star.

“I’m human… this is definitely something that I don’t do. I needed to step outside my comfort zone. This is a really big deal.”

The Kardashians Made $65 Million in 2010

According to a report by ‘The Hollywood Reporter’, the Kardashian sisters could probably buy the entire Silly Bandz bracelet empire with the profit they made in 2010: $65 million. Between their multiple reality TV shows, brand endorsements, product lines, public appearance fees and more, it makes sense this power family raked in so much cash. And many attribute the family's success to Mama Manager Kris Jenner's business savy outlook. "Look at Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg...Two guys that didn't finish college ended up billionaires. Sometimes just raw energy and intelligence wins out," said Kris's friend Scott Sassa. Khloe Kardashian chimes in: "My mother has just always been this 'Let's make water into wine' person. She knows how to take one small talent or ability and grow it into something huge." Kris Jenner says she had enough confidence in her daughters' appeal to encourage them to just let their true personalities shine on the reality TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

"Not only do we not have filters running through our brains, we don't edit ourselves...The scene where Kourtney's boyfriend, Scott Disick is shoving money down the waiter's throat, that was hard to watch. But I said: 'Leave it alone. Just show it. It'll be fine.' I've said that every single time. And it's served me well from a business point of view," she said.

Although some say the Kardashians are successful for no reason or maybe it's for too many reasons, Kris put it bluntly: "My job was trying to take my kids' 15 minutes and turn it into 30."

Kourtney Kardashian denies engagement rumours

“Kourtney Kardashian is not engaged to boyfriend Scott Disick”, said a publicist for her reality show. Kardashian and Disick, who have a one-year-old son together, were rumoured to have gotten engaged with the proposal featured on the final episode of the show “Kourtney and Kim Take New York”. But the reports have been dismissed by the publicist for Kourtney’s reality show.

“It’s not true,” E! spokesman said about Life and Style magazine’s reportedly exclusive story on her engagement.

“WOW!! Where do the mags come up with this stuff? And claiming exclusives? Come on now,” Kourtney tweeted about the rumours after the news broke.

Kourtney Kardashian engaged to Scott Disick

Reality star Kourtney Kardashian and long time boyfriend Scott Disick have got engaged secretly. Disick popped the question to the 31-year-old star recently and she said, "yes!". The romantic moment was all caught on tape for the season finale of their reality show ‘Kourtney and Kim Take New York’. "The season finale, which has already been filmed, ends with Scott proposing and Kourtney accepting," said an insider, confirming that the once rocky couple is officially engaged. "It’s been really hard for them to keep it quiet. She’s so excited for the finale to air this April so she can finally go out in public with her ring on. She wears it at home all the time."

The couple have a son Mason, who was born in December 2009. "The family is really happy about Scott and Kourtney’s engagement but they’re trying to keep it a secret so it’s a huge surprise on the show," said another source.

Kardashian sisters sued for $75 mn

The Kardashian sisters - Kim, Khloe and Kourtney - have been sued for $75 million in debit card damages. The sisters, along with mom Kris Jenner, are being sued by The Revenue Resource Group (RRG) for breach of contract after they pulled out of promotional duties stemming from the launch of their branded prepaid debit card. Their MasterCard-branded card was cancelled just weeks after its November launch because it carried "outrageous" fees, and prompted the Attorney General of Connecticut to open an investigation. In a statement released Nov 29, the Kardashians’ lawyer said: "The Kardashians have worked extremely long and hard to create a positive public persona that appeals to everyone, particularly young adults. Unfortunately, the negative spotlight turned on the Kardashians as a result of the attorney general’s comments and actions threatens everything for which they have worked."

Now, the company that licensed the Kardashians’ images is taking the family to court for reneging on their two-year deal to promote the plastic.

"The company waited a month to file hoping this would work out. They didn’t want to sue," said RRG head attorney Scott Rudd. He added that the terminated deal and associated negative publicity has "effectively put this company out of business".

Khloe Kardashian to appear on Hollywood Hi-Tech

DIY Network has greenlit a show with the working title of ‘Hollywood Hi-Tech’, which will focus on home electronics and high-end custom installation in celebrity homes. The series, which will feature actors Josh Duhamel, Kevin Connolly and Jeremy Piven, Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom and his wife Khloe Kardashian, premieres in June. Janna Robinson, an expert on lifestyle technology, will host the show.

Kim Kardashian getting cosy with Kris Humphries

Kim Kardashian seems to be dating heavily. Just days after being spotted on a night out with Gabriel Aubry, the reality star was seen party-hopping with basketball player Kris Humphries. Decked out in a white fur coat, the 30-year-old star made her new romance public while shuffling several events in New York City with the New Jersey Nets player on Friday. After checking out the Z100’s Jingle Ball concert - featuring Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and Katy Perry - the pair headed to NYC’s Provocateur lounge, where they were spotted partying until nearly 2 am. Though they tried to avoid being photographed together, the couple was eventually snapped while entering Kardashian’s hotel in the wee hours of Saturday morning. The reality star - who reportedly split from Halle Berry’s model ex Aubry after a few, intense weeks together - says she’s having "fun" dating.

Kardashian, who has previously romanced footballer Reggie Bush, said she has no preference when it comes to dating a sportsman or a model. "I’d rather date someone with a good heart."

As for the motivation behind her split from Aubry, an insider said things were "moving too fast," and the twosome are "better off as friends."

Kardashian sisters growing as designers

American television personality Khloe Kardashian says she and her sisters Kim and Kourtney are all growing and getting more confident as designers. The Kardashian sisters have their own range of clothes, swimwear and accessories, and Khloe says all three of them are comfortable with their work. "I think every time we have a new collection, our stuff gets better and better because we get more comfortable designing and they get more comfortable with letting us design. It’s just a really fun collaboration," she says.

"We make sure at least two of us are at every meeting, at least two of us have to agree. If there is three of us and one doesn’t agree but two do, then we outweigh each other," she adds.
