Anushka Sharma looking for real life Surinder Sahni
Model turned actress Anushka Sharma, who debuted opposite Shah Rukh Khan in “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi”, reveals that she would like her dream guy to be like Surinder Sahni, the middle-class nice guy played by the superstar in the film. She also says she never dreamt of becoming an actress.

“I would love to have someone like Surinder. He should be a nice man. I believe in having a man who is beautiful and strong from inside. Inner beauty is most important. But I found Suri to be handsome and good-looking too,” Anushka said.

Directed by Aditya Chopra, “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” is the story of a mismatched couple played by Shah Rukh and Anushka and how the two of them find love in the backdrop of a dance competition.

The model-turned-actress considers herself “fortunate” to have landed a debut with Yash Raj Films and, that too, opposite Shah Rukh, but Anushka says she had never planned to become a Bollywood heroine. “I never dreamt of becoming an actress; so it is not a dream come true for me,” she said.

Anushka, who is under a three-film contract with the Yash Raj banner, said she would be concentrating on those projects for now. “I have signed a three-film contract with Yash Raj. But I am free to do any other project if I wish,” she clarified.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi goes to Oscars Library
After having a successful run at the Box Office, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is now heading to Oscars Library for its permanent collection.

It's basically the sensitivity of the screenplay and the unusual love story that attracted the attention of the Oscars Library. The scripts in the collection are kept at the famous Margaret Herrick Library and are made accessible strictly for research purposes only. It's actually the students, filmmakers, writers and actors who can avail of the script. Not just that, the screenplays may only be viewed in the library since they do not get circulated and no screenplay is allowed to be photocopied.

Critics may not have given Rab NeBana Di Jodi, a five star ratings, but being chosen for the Oscars Library is an achievement in itself.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi music hits top spots
The music of the Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is climbing to the top spot in the music charts.

“When we put in a lot of hardwork to make our music we hope that the audience will like our music. We are very happy that people are enjoying the music,” said Salim and Suleiman, music directors of the movie.

“We made the song on Surinder Sahani’s character,” said Jaideep Sahni the lyricist. Sahni says the music is inspired by the characters in the film. From the music to the lyrics there is attention in every detail.

SRK’s transformation from the comically awkward man next door to the man with the right moves has only added to the charm. “We composed the songs according to the mood and flavor of the script narrated by Aditya Chopra”, said Jaideep Sahni.

“If songs that are composed according to the script become a hit, it is bound to make us happy,” said Salim Suleiman, music director.

Music is usually the first step to any film’s success. If the music translates into popularity, success will become easy for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

Shah Rukh Khan as lover boy again
Shah Rukh Khan has epitomized the role of lover boy on the screen throughout the last decade portraying different enigmatic heroes.

Now, for Aditya Chopra’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, he plays the role of the boy next door- a regular guy with no fancy airs, no special details , just a normal kind of guy. But according to Shah Rukh it is this type of guy who is the most romantic. In an interview given to a website, the actor exclaimed “The most boring, normal guys are the best lovers.”

The King Khan said this while elaborating more on the character he is portraying in Aditya Chopra’s ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’. According to SRK “I play this normal, regular guy. He is that sort of character whom people meet in everyday life; there is nothing fancy, attractive or interesting about him. This role therefore required me to keep things simple, whether it was the look, make up and even my demeanor.”

The actor who has romanced some of the most beautiful actresses on screen feels that for romance you need to keep things simple. He still considers himself a regular guy still amazed at why all these female fans adore him.

It will be interesting to watch Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in a role close to his heart.

Shah Rukh Khan to come in double role

Shah Rukh Khan has not had a single release this year and has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Shah Rukh Khan came into news because of the famous spat with Salman Khan at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party. He also had a lackluster stint as host of Television game show, Kya Aap Panchvi pass Se Tez hai.

Now his career is looking up again with a double role in Aditya Chopra’s next flick, ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’. Shah Rukh Khan is not new to double roles. He had played doubles in ‘Duplicate’ and last year’s superhit, “Om Shanti Om”.

In ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ he plays the roles of a simpleton and a hippie. It is a light hearted comedy inspired by yesteryear’s director Hrishikesh Mukherji’s Amol Palekar starrer, superhit movie “Golmaal”. It is also offering a launch pad to new actress Anushka Sharma.
