Shane Warne to tie the knot with Liz Hurley
Elizabeth Hurley - Shane WarneShane Warne is said to have proposed Elizabeth Hurley as they holidayed on a friend’s luxury yacht in Spain. Sources have revealed that there will be wedding bells in Australia before the end of the year. Liz Hurley (46) has allegedly told pals: “He’s definitely the one. I didn’t know I’d ever feel this way about anyone.” Shane (41) got down on one knee to propose to the British beauty, and then toasted the news with billionaire boat owner James Packer, his long-term friend, off Marbella. “The boat was moored in Marbella and the Packers were on board along with about 15 people, just close friends, no-one famous,” said a source. “Shane and Liz flew in for a few days and looked so in love during their time. “It was just a beautiful moment when he proposed. Really romantic and she said yes. There was no hesitation.”

Liz and Shane’s undercover love came to light in December when they were caught kissing outside a London hotel. She later admitted on Twitter that she had split from textiles tycoon Arun Nayar months before.

“Liz didn’t think she’d want to move on from Arun so quickly but she’s smitten with Shane,” the source added.

Liz Hurley and Shane Warne: True love or what?
Elizabeth HurleyIt’s been some time now, but Elizabeth Hurley and Shane Warne’s ‘very public’ love story doesn’t seem to leave the spotlight or the front pages even for a moment – but some are left wondering – is it true love or just a cheap publicity gimmick? Warne and Hurley have been very vocal about their mutual affection for each other on Twitter, for the rest of the world to see. "That’s what was so extraordinary about it - just how open they were in their tweeting," said Fiona McIntosh, the founding editor of Grazia. McIntosh added that Warne and Hurley seemed to be completely unaffected by with the ongoing phone-tapping scandal – where some stars jealously guard their privacy, these two don’t seem to care at all. "Maybe they were carried away in the first flash of love. That’s what I’m not sure about - if it was a strategy or not,” she said.

Then mid-December saw a complete silence over Twitter but when Hurley got her new parrot Ping-Pong, Warne tweeted, "I’m getting jealous of ping pong! Think it’s time you left ping pong alone for a while & come visit me in Australia."

And when she did, the media world was abuzz with activity yet again. It seemed that what had begun as something quite ambiguous and haphazard was now being formalized as a media strategy.

Surprisingly, Hurley has been very private about her life – whether it was ex boyfriend Hugh Grant’s encounter with Divine Brown or her court case for picture agencies who snapped her, Grant and new husband Arun Nayar while they were on holiday.

"It’s a way of beating journalists at their own game. By tweeting, you’re taking power from the journalist. The biggest bugbear to celebrities are stories which are damaging and possibly false. But this way, you eliminate that,” says publicist Max Clifford.

Sam Delaney - Heat’s editor until last year – gives another reason.

When celebrities reveal intimate details on Twitter, a la Warne and Hurley, you think: ‘This is amazing. We’re getting insights into all the dirty laundry our readers want to know about. Oh, but so are our readers.’

As a result, he says, "you’re left being an amalgam of stuff that is already out there. Rather like The Week magazine, but for celebrity news."

But he argues, saying, “People will always enjoy seeing a story printed bigger, and delivered with humour and a bit of editorial comment.”

But the micro-blogging site seems to have worked wonders for the couple.

Hurley’s Twitter following has almost doubled - from 50,000 in December to over 90,000 now - while the new account she set up last week for her pet Ping Pong has already attracted over 3500 subscribers.

Sadly, her relationship with Warne hasn’t been so successful. ‘Happy Valentine’s Day!’ Hurley tweeted at the end of what turned out to be a disastrous trip to Australia. "Remember, love is like a rollercoaster ride - sometimes it’s exhilarating but sometimes u feel sick and want to get off."

Warne’s rollercoaster love making Hurley sick
Elizabeth HurleyIt seems cricket star Shane Warne’s ‘rollercoaster love’ is making new lover Elizabeth Hurley feel ‘sick’. The 45 year old, Hurley, took to social networking website Twitter to indicate her feelings about Valentine’s Day, reports the Daily Mail. She wrote: “Happy Valentine’s Day! Remember, love is like a rollercoaster ride- sometimes it’s exhilarating but sometimes u (sic) feel sick and want to get off.”

The tweet comes amid allegations that Warne bedded a star while romancing Hurley. It is the second setback in their short romance.

In December, the couple briefly split after the 41-year-old cricketer admitted to sending over 100 saucy texts to another woman.

Liz Hurley and Shane Warne at a lunch date
Elizabeth HurleyAfter tweeting that he was looking for suggestions on where to take his famous flame for a ‘sexy’ lunch, Shane Warne finally drove Elizabeth Hurley to an exclusive golf club owned by former Crown Casino boss Lloyd Williams. The couple left Warne’s Brighton love bunker on Wednesday in a black Mercedes with tinted windows, with a convoy of media cars in hot pursuit and helicopters overhead. The Peter Thomson-designed course in Melbourne’s southeast is a luxurious destination that has hosted celebrities including Tiger Woods, who played practice rounds there ahead of the Australian Masters the past two years. The highly secure club features a sumptuous clubhouse with views of the meticulous grounds and curious bird life.

As well as playing a round of golf, Hurley will be able to enjoy Australian fauna including emus and wallabies in the club’s wildlife sanctuary.

The couple will be relaxing in what the website describes as a ‘convivial, comfortable and relaxed’ atmosphere at the clubhouse, which features ‘sun-drenched flagstone patios" and ‘vine-shaded pergolas’.

“Where is the sexiest place to take Elizabeth for lunch? Suggestions please? Chapel St? Crown? And no - not for spaghetti on toast!!!” Warne had tweeted on Wednesday morning.

He was met with a bevy of responses suggesting inner Melbourne eateries and destinations such as the Dandenong Ranges, and Yarra Valley wineries.

Liz Hurley and Shane Warne caught smooching
Liz Hurley - Shane WarneKing Spinner Shane Warne and glamorous actress Elizabeth Hurley were snapped in a passionate embrace in Los Angeles last weekend. The rendezvous show that the couple were very much back on despite Warne’s texting habits had derailed their affair. They were snapped smooching in a car in Santa Monica after rekindling their love by flying to Tinseltown from Melbourne and London. The former cricketer, who flew to LA on January 15 morning, and Hurley made the most of their few days together in the US and were seen out and about in a Range Rover. Warne (41), and Hurley (45), spent their weekend at Santa Monica’s five-star Casa Del Mar hotel.

“They were behaving like a couple of love struck teenagers. Liz was tickling Shane’s chin, playing with her hair and frequently re-applying her lip gloss. Shane couldn’t keep his eyes off her,” said a guest.

Hurley, meanwhile, took to Twitter to tell her followers how good her week-end was.

“I’ve been here on business - some of it monkey. A great week-end. Best in a long, long time,” she wrote.

Hurley getting back to Warne again
Elizabeth HurleyElizabeth Hurley seems to be working on her fledging romance with Australian cricketer Shane Warne as they have started flirting again on Twitter. Hurley announced the breakdown of her marriage with Indian businessman Arun Nayar following reports that she cheated on her husband with Warne. However, Warne, famous for his womanising ways, was caught two-timing Hurley by sending racy messages to his blonde neighbour. But it seems that things are on the mend as Hurley and Warne started sending twitter message to each other again. Warne initiated a conversation with Hurley when he asked her if she had any resolutions for 2011.

Hurley responded: "Lots of them and they all begin with Start or Stop..."

When Warne questioned what she meant, Hurley tweeted him: "You’re being blonde as in Stop eating sweeties and Start doing sit ups"

The flirty banter suggests things are back on track with Warne and Hurley, whose relationship was revealed through their conversations on Twitter after photographs emerged of them kissing.

Shane Warne trying to win back Liz Hurley
Shane WarneIt seems cricket legend Shane Warne is trying to keep his fledgling romance with Liz Hurley alive. The 41 year old Australian cricketer took to his Twitter account after he was accused of two-timing the actress by sending another Australian married woman more than 100 saucy texts. “We all are childish, immature at times. It’s about how you bounce back when things are tough.” The star continued: “In life, everyone is happy to judge your actions then comment, sure everyone’s entitled to their opinion. “But their opinion is not always right,” he added.

Warne and Hurley’s relationship came to light just eight days ago, prompting the model to announce the end of her marriage to Arun Nayer.

Liz Hurley dumps Shane Warne
Liz HurleyLiz Hurley has apparently dumped Shane Warne after learning that the cricketer had sent sexual text messages to a married Australian woman. An Australian man, Denis Angeleri, claims his wife, Adele, was wooed by Warne with a series of explicit texts. The pair had met when Warne called into her leather goods shop opposite his office at the Shane Warne Foundation in Melbourne. They exchanged numbers and Warne began texting her, becoming progressively more suggestive. Adele grew worried and eventually told her husband, Denis, on December 3. Warne had begged him to keep the matter secret for the sake of his family, however, Warne was "also clearly terrified Liz would discover his double-dealing". "There weren’t that many texts anyway,” said Warne. But a newspapre has said that Warne sent her more than 100 messages, while simultaneously cultivating his relationship with Hurley. It was only a few days after his confrontation with Angeleri that Warne met up with Hurley in London.

Warne, now in Perth commentating on the Third Ashes Test for Channel Nine, hit social networking site Twitter to lament the latest saga. "The journey of life is about riding the ups/downs," a daily quoted him as Tweeting. "We all are childish, immature at times. It’s about how you bounce back when things are tough." On Friday night he tweeted: "4:45 am here in Perth. Not really a wink of sleep. Tossed and turned all night, feeling extremely grumpy."

Hurley also wrote on Twitter to shut down reports she would spend time with Warne in Australia in the coming weeks. And, in a further blow to Warne, she said she had no plans to divorce her estranged husband, Indian textile heir Arun Nayar any time soon.

"Bored now of silly speculations: no one is divorcing anyone yet, no one is fighting over money and I have no plans to go to Australia. Enough!" she wrote.

Liz Hurley - Shane Warne kissing photo
Liz-Hurley-Shane-Warne-Kiss-PhotoBritish model-actress Elizabeth Hurley’s has been caught kissing Australian cricketer Shane Warne on camera and the"passionate fling"has reportedly put her marriage to Indian businessman Arun Nayar on the rocks. The British tabloid News Of The World today published photos of the’Austin Powers’ star kissing and embracing the cricketer, famed for his womanising ways. The paper claims that she had spent two nights with the Australian, 41, in his London hotel suite this week. The report says the pair were also captured on video kissing outside the restaurant Sake No Hana. "While they waited for their coats to be brought to them Hurley pulled Warne towards her into a darkened doorway, cupped his face with her hands and leaned in to lock lips. After releasing from their clinch they gazed into each other’s eyes and smiled adoringly," reads the article.

The 45-year-old swimwear model had wed Indian tycoon Nayar in 2007. They tied the knot in a string of extravagant ceremonies in London and Rajasthan, and the photographs were sold to magazines for millions. But the latest scandal may end the union.

Hurley and Warne were reportedly spotted exchanging more lingering kisses outside the cricketer’s luxury USD 2500-a-night suite at the Bentley Hotel in South Kensington. They were also seen smooching and kissing again during a meal on Thursday at San Lorenzo in Chelsea.

The pair, who first met in July at Goodwood races, have been exchanging flirty Twitter messages for months. At first, the banter was about the fact that they were initially reported as "old friends" after their first meeting.

In a tweet that appears to be a message from her dog, Hurley told Warne, "Sammy sends you a special lick and says he’d like to put his silky head on your shoulder."

A notorious philanderer, Warne split from Simone, the mother of his children Brooke, 13, Jackson, 11 and Summer, 8, after a string of affairs. They divorced in 2007, but got back together in 2009 for a trial reunion. However, it didn’t work out though he still lives with his ex-wife in Melbourne.

Liz Hurley separates from Arun Nayar after Warne affair
Liz Hurley separates from hubbyLiz Hurley and her husband Arun Nayar have separated, the British actress announced Sunday, as a newspaper reported she has been having an affair with Australia cricket great Shane Warne. "Not a great day," Hurley told her followers on social networking site Twitter. "For the record, my husband Arun and I separated a few months ago. "Our close family and friends were aware of this." The 45 years old, Hurley, who has an eight-year-old son, Damian, married Indian businessman Arun Nayar three years ago. Britain’s News of the World tabloid reported Sunday that Hurley had spent two nights with the great bowling ace, 41 years old, Warne in his London hotel suite last week. She had been flirting with him for months via Twitter, it said.

Divorced former leg-spin bowler Warne arrived in Britain on Wednesday to shoot interviews for his new television show, Warnie, the newspaper said. Previous affairs cost Warne not only his marriage but the vice-captaincy of the Australia Test side in 2000 and the opportunity to become his country’s one-day captain two years later.

Hurley and Nayar married in a civil ceremony at Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, south-west England in 2007 and held a blessing and party at the castle the following night. They then had traditional Indian wedding celebrations at the Mehrangarh fort in Jodhpur.

Hurley and actor Hugh Grant were one of Britain’s leading celebrity couples in the 1990s before they split after his arrest in 1995 for consorting with a Hollywood prostitute. Also a model, Hurley was well-known for her daring choice of clothes at various red-carpet events and in 1994 wore a Versace dress held together by safety pins.
