Dannii Minogue to marry Kris Smith

Singer-turned-fashion designer Dannii Minogue wants to get married to boyfriend Kris Smith before she turns 40 this year. The 39-year-old, who has son Ethan, six months, with Smith hopes to have another baby, but would prefer to tie the knot first. "Dannii has so much work lined up for the coming year - as well as working on her fashion range and music, she’s got her judging role on ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ and ‘The X Factor’ - so she was thinking the ideal time for a wedding would be April or May before she gets too busy," said a source.

"She’s also been thinking of venues and debating whether it may be better to try for a baby now and hold off on the wedding plans. She’s keen to be married or engaged with another baby on the way before she turns 40 in October," it added.

Dannii Minogue too busy to marry

Australian pop star Dannii Minogue is too busy to marry Kris Smith this year, as she will be engrossed fulfilling her role as a first-time mother.

Dannii, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kris Smith, thinks the former rugby star will be the "perfect husband" but wants to focus on motherhood before walking down the aisle.

"He’ll be the perfect husband. We have talked about it, but this year is just hectic, it’s crazy. So there’s nothing planned. I never thought this would happen to me, it’s going to be such a big shock and a change," Dannii,- who was previously married to actor Julian McMahon, said.

"You think you’re going have it all under control, but your world goes upside down - in a good way. I’ll just be concentrating on being a mum. That’s what I’ll be focusing on," she added.

The 38 year old star admitted to gorging on sugary treats during the pregnancy, but is amazed that she hasn’t gained as much weight as she expected.

Dannii Minogue to quit X Factor due to Pregnancy

Dannii Minogue will no longer be a part of the auditions for the new X Factor series due to her pregnancy.

The talent show judge, who is expecting her child with ex-rugby player Kris Smith, confirmed her withdrawal when asked about her appearance on the show.

"If they’re auditioning in the hospital in Australia, yes, but otherwise, no! I will miss Cheryl, Louis and Simon, and not being there for the auditions, but I really need to be near my family in Australia at such an important time”, said Dannii.

Further she said, "I don’t know what is happening with “X Factor”. I just adore it and I had such a fun time last year. I’d love to be part of it somehow even if I just pop back and visit."

Dannii Minogue all set to wed again

Singer Dannii Minogue, who had vowed never to marry again, has had a change of heart and is considering to tie the knot with model boyfriend Kris Smith.

The X-Factor judge admits that the previous relationships had shaken her faith in love but the 38 year old singer believes that she has found the man with whom she wants to live "forever" in Smith.

Minogue was previously married to actor Julian McMahon and was engaged to racing driver Jacques Villeneuve.

"It’s (marriage) a possibility. I never thought I’d be saying this but I’ve found the guy I want to be with forever."

"I’d given up on love but then, as a few girlfriends had told me, it’s when you’ve given up looking that you meet that special someone," she said.

The Australian beauty said she was too scared to approach Smith, when she first saw him and it was a friend who introduced the couple.

"I wouldn’t have even spoken to him on that fateful night had the friend I was with not caught us looking at each other, finally saying, I can’t stand this anymore. I’m going to invite him over.”

"I was mortified, saying “Don’t! I won’t speak to him if you do!” And even when Kris did introduce himself, I acted really cool, thinking we’d have nothing in common. It just goes to prove how wrong you can be."
