It seems Blake Lively has set her sights on Leonardo DiCaprio, for she was spotted flirting with the ‘Titanic’ star in a party recently. The newly single ‘Gossip Girl’ star was spotted flirting with DiCaprio at ‘Hurt Locker’ star Jeremy Renner’s birthday at his house in The Hills. "They were on the balcony together for an hour. They were standing close in a corner and looked like there was a lot of flirting. Later, they were together again by the bar," said a source.

Meanhile a pal said that he and Lively "are just friends and Leo left with Kevin Connolly."

Leonardo DiCaprio tops highest earning list

Hollywood heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio has topped Forbes magazine list of the highest grossing actors of 2010, thanks to hits like ‘Inception’ and ‘Shutter Island’. The 36-year-old starred in movies which made USD 1.1 billion at the global box office and DiCaprio took home a big pay cheque, earning USD 75 million for his work on ‘Inception’ alone. "The young actor has a habit of picking very adult films. These aren’t the kind of superhero/comic book films that usually top the box office. But DiCaprio is well on his way to becoming one of Hollywood’s best-paid actors," said the magazine. Tying for second place with co-star Johhny Depp, is the big surprise on the list, newcomer Mia Wasikowska, who played the titular role in ‘Alice in Wonderland’, which raked in USD 1.03 billion at the box office. "Just as surprising, she ties Depp in our ranking thanks to her other movie this year, The Kids Are All Right. That film has earned USD 29 million at the global box office, a healthy return considering the estimated USD 4 million production budget," said the magazine about the 21-year-old Australian actress.

Robert Downey Jr. ranks fourth with USD 808 million thanks to ‘Iron Man 2’ and the comedy ‘Due Date’. The top five was rounded off by young British actor Daniel Radcliffe who gained a spot thanks to his role as young wizard Harry Potter in the superhit fantasy franchise.

‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1’, which only opened a month ago, is already the fourth-highest-grossing film of 2010 with USD 780 million at the global box office.

‘Twilight’ heartthrob Robert Pattinson grabbed the sixth spot while while his co-star in the vampire franchise and real-life girlfriend Kristen Stewart came seventh.

‘Avatar’ actor Sam Worthington came eighth while Will Smith’s 12-year-old son Jaden Smith and his ‘Karate Kid’ co-star Jackie Chan rounded off the top ten.

Carey Mulligan to romance Leonardo DiCaprio

British actress Carey Mulligan has fought off competition from Scarlett Johansson and Blake Lively to land the role of Leonardo DiCaprio’s lover in Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of ‘The Great Gatsby’. The ‘Titanic’ star has been cast as Jay Gatsby in the movie adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s literary masterpiece and rumours were rife over which actress would sign on as love interest Daisy Buchanan. ‘Gossip Girl’ beauty Lively was linked to the role after she was spotted enjoying a business dinner with DiCaprio and Luhrmann in New York City earlier this month while movie insiders claimed Johansson and Michelle Williams were also in the running. Luhrmann has now confirmed ‘An Education’ star Mulligan will portray Buchanan after impressing the director with her audition.

"Regarding the role of Daisy Buchanan, I was privileged to explore the character with some of the world’s most talented actresses, each one bringing their own particular interpretation, all of which were legitimate and exciting.

"However, specific to this particular production of ‘The Great Gatsby’, I was thrilled to pick up the phone an hour ago to the young Oscar-nominated British actress Carey Mulligan and say to her, ‘Hello, Daisy Buchanan’," he said.

Dicaprio boosts campaign to preserve world’s tiger population

Leonardo Dicaprio has boosted his campaign to preserve the world’s tiger population by meeting with India’s Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh at a Coalition of Rainforest Nations event in New York.

The ‘Titanic’ star announced in May he has pledged his support to the World Wildlife Fund’s Save Tigers Now initiative, which aims to raise 13 million pound to help double the number of the species by 2022.

"The actor met the minister and has expressed his interest to play a crucial role in sensitising the global community to the cause of the Indian tiger. DiCaprio plans to come to India to be a part of the conservation efforts," said an Indian government official.

DiCaprio is not the only star backing the campaign. Earlier this year, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan called for more work to preserve India’s dwindling tiger population.

Bar Refaeli asked to dump beau Leonardo DiCaprio

An Israeli nationalist group has urged Bar Refaeli to dump American boyfriend, actor Leonardo DiCaprio, and settle down with a Jewish husband.

It is reported that Baruch Marzel, an Israeli politician sent a letter on behalf of the Lehava organisation.

"It is not by chance that you were born Jewish. Your grandmother and her grandmother did not dream that one of their descendants would one day remove the family’s future generations from the Jewish people. Assimilation has forever been one of the enemies of the Jewish people," stated the letter.

Marzel added that he has "nothing against Mr DiCaprio, who I have no doubt is a talented actor, Come to your senses, look forward and back too and not only the present. Don’t marry Leonardo DiCaprio, don’t harm the future generations."

The supermodel, who has been dating DiCaprio since 2005, was forced to deny rumours about her engagement earlier this month after she was spotted wearing a ring on her wedding finger.

The source added. “She was really excited when Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” came on”.

Hollywood heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio’s days as a footloose bachelor seem to have ended, as his long time girlfriend, model Bar Refaeli is now sporting an engagement ring.

With Sunday being Valentine’s Day, it would have been the perfect opportunity to propose and DiCaprio seems to have done just that.

So when the Israeli beauty stepped out with DiCaprio and his mother for a charity dinner at the Berlin International Film Festival, she had a sparkling ring on her left hand.

Leonardo took her along to the Cinema for Peace Gala 2010 charity dinner and the model kept her hands hidden under the table most of the time, but gave onlookers a peep of the ring as she clapped her hands.

Last month, the actor and the 24 year old swimsuit model were pictured together at a basketball match, setting tongues wagging that they had rekindled their tempestuous relationship.

They split in June 2009, reportedly because 35 year old Leo was not ready to settle down and move in with her.

German newspaper Bild reported that the Hollywood star proposed to Bar in the Hotel de Rome on Valentine’s Day.

On Monday, Leo’s mother Irmelin joined her son at the charity dinner and it was her who reportedly urged her son to make an honest woman of Refaeli.

Leonardo DiCaprio has reportedly been telling pals he’s “single”, fuelling rumours the actor has parted ways with girlfriend Bar Refaeli.

Reports that the two had spilt emerged last month after Bar Refaeli allegedly grew tired of the Titanic star’s reluctance to commit.

The couple dismissed the reports by putting on a united front during a Los Angeles shopping spree just a few days later.

However, DiCaprio has again hinted he has split from the Israeli supermodel, by reportedly hitting the town in London claiming he was a single guy.

"There was a queue of ladies trying to get near Leonardo - he even had a special security guard with him, just to keep them at bay,” according to a source.

"Leonardo was telling people he was definitely single, but he wasn’t interested in any of the women trying to get his attention," the source added.

It seems like Lindsay Lohan has had enough of women, for she is now turning her attention to men, and the latest guy she’s eyeing is Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio.

The Mean Girls star, who has recently spilt with lover Sam Ronson, was spotted flirting with the Titanic actor before getting up to dance in front of him.

Lindsay spotted Leo at Hollywood hotspot My House on April 15, and indulged in cosy chat with the 34year-old star.

“As soon as Lindsay saw Leo she was like a bee to honey,” British tabloid The Sun quoted a source as saying.

The pair were cosied up together deep in conversation. She definitely tickled his fancy.

Will Smith earns most in Hollywood

Will Smith, the black actor who rose from the ranks of rappers to become a Hollywood superstar, is now officially the top-earning star in Tinseltown.

Smith, 39, earned $80 million in the past year to top the list of biggest earners, ahead of Johnny Depp, who earned $72 million.

The continued success of Smith's movies across various genres means he is the first actor ever to have eight films in a row to break the $100 million barrier at the box office.

Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers came in joint third with pay cheques totalling $55 million each, and Leonardo DiCaprio rounded out the top five with $45 million in earnings.

Action star Bruce Willis was next with $41 million, followed by comedian Ben Stiller with $40 million and Nicolas Cage with $31 million. Comedy stars Will Ferrell and Adam Sandler rounded out the top 10, with $31 million and $30 million respectively.
