Ranbir and Katrina tried all possible things to keep their relationship under wraps. But as they say, there’s no smoke without fire, their secret public appearances did give the shutterbugs all the reason to conclude that they were indeed dating! But that is a thing in the past. Rumours have it that the couple has split. While many cite Nargis Fakhri as the reason behind the break up, sources indicate that there were other reasons behind the breakup. Sources state that Katrina wants to tie the nuptial with Junior Kapoor but the sexy young man is hell bent on avoiding marriage. Incidentally, Nargis is Ranbir’s ‘Rockstar’ co-star, with whom RK is having a gala time. And his proximity to the newbie created a lot of issues for Kat.

A source revealed, "It was only incidental that Ranbir’s fondness for Nargis increased recently. However, what has really distanced him from Katrina is her demand that they get married, by March 2012, if not December 2011. She clearly told him that they should tie the knot in a year’s time."

But Katrina is in no mood to admit that she is desperate to marry Kapoor kid. Denying this news, the hottie said, "These rumours are embarrassing, ugly, a million miles from the truth, beyond fiction. The so-called people close to me who are saying these things actually have no proximity to me. Ranbir is a friend, but there is nothing beyond. So there is no question of my breaking up with him or asking for marriage."

As for Kat’s no kissing deal, the actress might just give a waiver this time since she is quite keen to work with Basu. “Even though Kat has a no-kissing clause in her contract, there’s a chance that she might drop that one for this film," adds the source.

While Deepika is apparently hitting off really well with Shahid post her break-up with Ranbir, the Kapoor scion too seems to have found some comfort in none other than Bipasha Basu. And for all those who thought Ranbir and Bipasha didn’t make the perfect onscreen couple together in ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, news has it that Ranbir thinks differently.

It’s been revealed that Ranbir is very fond of Bollywood bombshell, Bipasha. A source says that whenever the actor wants to relax and chit-chat about some personal stuff – like confessing about his girlfriends or just have a quiet dinner with a pal, he doesn’t think twice before calling up Bips!

The two became close chums while shooting for ‘Bachna...’ and the friendship is going stronger, it seems.

Sajid Nadiadwala, the producer of ‘Anjana, Anjaani’ said, "Despite the fact that all of them had spent the earlier New Year holidays with their families, they willingly agreed on this schedule, though they were offered the option of taking holidays. This was very professional on their part. In fact, both Priyanka and Ranbir are looking forward to the shooting schedule."

Reports reveal that on New Year’s eve, there is no shoot because it’s been left free for partying. A source says that Sajid wants to make up for the missed family time by allowing them to have a blast without bothering about anything.

Ranbir and Priyanka apparently share an amazing chemistry, which is quite evident even on the sets of the film.

Shah Rukh Khan has been dropped out of Pepsi’s Youngistaan advertisement campaign. The move has come as Pepsi attempts to target the youth and Shah Rukh is considered an old face.

Pepsi’s Youngistaan ad campaign, featured Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan, which was a huge sucess. But now the brand is roping in new faces to promote the campaign.

Shah Rukh confirmed that his contract with the company is not being renewed. "I am not a part of the campaign anymore, as of now we are not renewing the contract.”

However, it remains to be seen, who loses more with this move – Shah Rukh or Pepsi?

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor in cold war

It is rumored that Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor have picked up a fight and the reason is apparently an angel-faced actress, Katrina Kaif.

According to sources, “Deepika Padukone had got the news from her sources about Ranbir’s growing comfort level with Katrina on and off the sets of Rajkumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani during the two month shooting schedule in Ooty. Deepika got very insecure when her sources from the sets of the same film told about what was happening between the two in the Goa schedule.”

He further added, “It is learnt that during the Goa shoot both Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif appeared more than comfortable with each other than before even in front of the unit members on the sets. Deepika Padukone went to Goa straightaway after hearing from her source. During her one day trip she met her source and came back to Mumbai.”

Apparently when Ranbir realized what was happening he made a call to Deepika, which ended in an argument. Thereafter Deepika Padukone is apparently not returning any calls from Ranbir Kapoor.

Deepika Padukone spotted Cozing with Ex Beau Nihar Pandya

Deepika Padukone was spotted with her ex boyfriend Nihar Pandya in Bandra. The two had lunch late afternoon. Thing to note here is- Ranbir Kapoor is away shooting at Ooty.

Deepika and Nihar are known to have been in a relationship since the modeling days of Deepika. It is said that after the grand success of Om Shanti Om Deepika became a superstar overnight and moved out of Nihar Pandya’s flat and life.

An eye witness reported “Nihar and Deepika came late in the afternoon after most of the people had left. Even when she comes with Ranbir it is always late in the day as she doesn’t want to be spotted. They were sitting in one corner of the restaurant. They were there for just under two hours. The two of them had a leisurely lunch and seemed quite at ease in each other’s company,”

Deepika and Ranbir Kapoor have often been spotted at this posh restaurant in Bandra. After moving apart from his relationship with Deepika, Nihar is said to have been cozy with Salman Khan’s sister, Arpita. Nihar Pandya has been frequently seen on the sets of Veer.

Katrina Kaif costars with Ranbir Kapoor in Rajneeti

Katrina Kaif is on a signing spree with Ranbir Kapoor, with three back-to-back movies costarring them in her kitty.

First is Yash Raj’s Bachna Ae Haseeno, then comes Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani for Raj Kumar Santoshi and now, Rajneeti, a gritty political thriller by Prakash Jha.

Rajneeti is the story of a political dynasty. For both Katrina and Ranbir, working with Prakash Jha known for his raw political thrillers, is an experience very different from the kind of cinema they’ve done so far. How did Katrina, with such a glamorous image strike gold with Prakash Jha?

Says Prakash, “I needed an actress who would look convincing as an intelligent modern cultured girl of today. Katrina fitted the bill perfectly. She also looks perfectly matched with Ranbir.

Not too many of the top leading ladies are compatible with Ranbir. Katrina is versatile enough to look perfectly match with Salman-Akshay and Ranbir.

I also like her focused attitude to her career. Now that she has proved herself successful there’s a hunger to prove herself in roles and projects that aren’t considered Katrina’s kingdom.”

Katrina would not be a glamor quotient in the film, she has a meaty role. Not at all, ” asserts Prakash. “She has very powerful dramatic moments in the plot. This role would require Katrina to put all her skills into the active mode.”

The film also stars Manoj Bajpai and Ajay Devgan.

Ranbir Kapoor blows Kiss to Deepika Padukone

Making his love interest clear, Ranbir Kapoor blew a kiss straight from the ramp to actress Deepika Padukone.

Attired in a black and beige "sherwani" or Indian-style coat with intricate ethnic motifs at the hemline and sequin work at the collars, the star walked the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) ramp for designer Arjun Khanna in Mumbai late Saturday.

The sherwani was tastefully teamed with beige churidar and red scarf to give a dramatic effect, the actor's face and hair were painted golden.

"Before I came here I didn't know that my face would be painted golden. Only when I reached the venue and sat on a chair (backstage) to get the make-up done, I got to know about it. But I enjoyed the whole experience," Ranbir told IANS after the show.

He refused to comment on his romantic link-up with Deepika. Starting with his signature dance step from the title song of Saawariya, Ranbir descended on the runway.

And then he spotted Deepika sitting next to his mother Neetu Singh. Cutting short his catwalk, he blew a flying kiss towards her. Deepika blushed and hid her face behind her cascade of hair.

While Deepika sported a light grey tube top with abstract prints matched with slim fit dark blue jeans, yesteryear actress Neetu Singh was decked in white trousers and a kurta top with white, red and blue geometric prints and Swarovski work at the neckline.

"There couldn't have a better confession of love than this. Ranbir made it clear at the LFW that Deepika is his love interest," said Rashmi Singh, who attended the show.

Unlike his contemporaries, Ranbir did not take expert advice from his ladylove, who was a model by profession. "No I did not take any tips from Deepika before walking the ramp. I had never walked the ramp before. It was the first time for me but I was quite confident. It proved to be an excellent experience," Ranbir said.

"Moreover, the Indian fashion industry is growing very fast and if I can contribute a little to it, it would be great," he added.

When asked how fashion conscious he is, Ranbir said: "I am not fashionable at all. My knowledge about fashion is only through Arjun. Fashion for me is being comfortable."

After the show, Deepika left the venue with Neetu in the same car.

The five-day fashion extravaganza at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) would end on April 2. Fifty-seven designers, established and new, including the likes of Narendra Kumar, Kiran Uttam Ghosh, Neeta Lulla, Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Wendell Rodricks will show their collections.

Deepika Padukone crazy about Ranbir Kapoor

It may take yesteryear lover boy Rishi Kapoor and his son Ranbir some time to showcase their talent together. But the young actor's girlfriend Deepika Padukone already has that privilege.

She will be sharing screen space with Rishi in Saif Ali Khan's first production to be directed by Imtiaz Ali of Jab We Met fame. I did a reading with Rishi uncle for the film, and I was simply stunned. He's that good. Imtiaz's film will be a departure for me,' Deepika told IANS.

'I'm lucky enough to work with both Ranbir and Rishi uncle. Now all I need is a film with Neetu aunty to complete the picture,' she added. The actress, who debuted with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in 'Om Shanti Om', will play Saif's leading lady in the yet untitled film.

'I'm definitely looking forward to working with Saif. He's one of the best actors we've ever had,' she said. But before that Deepika is currently shooting for Nikhil Advani's action flick 'Chandni Chowk To China' with Akshay Kumar.

'I've trained in martial arts for the film and I enjoyed myself thoroughly because I'm athletic. People see me as very ladylike and proper. But there's another, very tomboyish side of me that you'll see in 'Chandni Chowk To China'.'

However, her first post 'Om Shanti Om' release would be Yash Raj Films' 'Bachna Ae Haseenon'. In the film, Deepika has to share her boyfriend Ranbir with two other leading ladies. 'Yes, but that's only for the screen no?' she quipped. 'It is Ranbir's film all the way. In my very first narration I was sure I wanted to do it.

'Siddharth Anand suggested I take some time to decide, but I liked his honesty and I loved my bit in the script. Siddharth was honest enough to tell me there were three other girls with Ranbir in the film - now, of course, there're only two other girls. As an actor it's important for me to be part of projects I believe in even if my role is comparatively small.'

Bachna Ae Haseenon: Ranbir Kapoor's next film got a title

Ranbir Kapoor's post-Saawariya project, a romantic musical for Yash Raj Films, had been struggling to find an appropriate title. Finally, it has one - Bachna Ae Haseenon, which harks back to his father's chartbuster.

'But I don't think we decided to name the film 'Bachna Ae Haseenon' to suggest a link with my past. Sure, the song was a big R.D. Burman chartbuster in its time. My dad, mom and I are all huge fans of RDB,' Ranbir told IANS.

'My parents' biggest hits were composed by him. But more than the instant connectivity, I think the title was selected because it's very apt for my film. It's about this guy's journey in life and his different encounters with various women,' he added.

The film, which has the young superstar courting Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba and Deepika Padukone, is 60 percent complete and is expected to open Aug 15.

Apart from acting, Ranbir has another passion, but not too many people know about it. It came out in the open when Bollywood played a charity benefit match against a professional team of soccer players at the Abhijeet Kadam Memorial Football Cup tournament in Pune.

Most clearly Ranbir was man of the match. He not only surprised the spectators and his colleagues with his expertise at the game but came home to Mumbai triumphant, having scored four out of the seven goals scored by the Bollywood team.

Suniel Shetty, who was present at the match, just can't stop raving about Ranbir, who walked away with the best male debutant at Filmfare for his performance in Saawariya.

'I was so bloody surprised! I thought Ranbir was a damn good actor. But I didn't know the boy played soccer like a dream. He's just so good on the field; it's scary,' said Suniel.

Suniel confesses he is a cricket fan, while his son is a big soccer fan.

'I was there for the charity football Tuesday for my son's sake though because of school he couldn't attend.'

And why does Suniel find the thought of Ranbir playing soccer so well scary?

'Because sports is finally giving Bollywood a run for its money,' observes Suniel. 'Ranbir plays soccer like a professional.

'Let the IPL (Indian Premier League) matches begin and the cinema theatres will be deserted. First the board exams in March and then the IPL matches in April, I think the movie business is in big trouble this year.'

Guess what is the latest buzz in the bollywood?
The latest buzz doing the rounds is that Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor may be more than just reel life lovers. It is believed that the couple are dating each other seriously.

If the reports are true, then Ranbir is just following in the footsteps of his father Rishi Kapoor who fell head over heels in love with his first heroine Dimple Kapadia following their debut film Bobby. So it could be a case of history repeating itself. There was a huge buildup to the release of Saawariya, what with Rishi and Neetu Kapoor's son teaming up with Anil Kapoor’s daughter. The curiosity factor was high and the young couple got a lot of attention.

According to sources, the romance started during the making of the film. Although Ranbir had a fling with Deepika Padukone, it was short-lived. Apparently the two have continued dating each other even after the film's release. But it is believed that both sets of parents have asked them to be discreet about their relationship as they are afraid that it may adversely affect their careers.

When Ranbir Kapoor dumped Deepika Padukone everyone guessed why it happened. But sources say that it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s advice which resulted their split.

The Ranbir and Deepika romance was anyway not slated to last to long even if it had been allowed to run its natural course as the two are very different people, according to a common friend. This love story would certainly have lasted longer and the break would not have come so abruptly had it been allowed to blossom. Bhansali did not bring the curtains down on this romance because of the two of them coming from rival camps but because he did not want the spotlight to be taken away from the film (Saawariya) and centre on the romance. Bhansali rightly wanted the focus on Saawariya.

During Ranbir's sister's wedding, he had given strict instructions to Rishi and Neetu not to allow the media any access to the newcomer. In fact, as the Deepika-Ranbir romance was on, he is believed to have met Ranbir's parents and explained that it was in the best interests of the film if the duo did not see each other. So Ranbir just stopped calling Deepika one fine day and returning her calls, leaving her wondering what on earth had happened.

Anyway, Deepika is back and doing fine.
