Singer Rihanna has become the new face of Emporio Armani innerwear and Armani Jeans. The singer will appear in advertisements for the fall-winter 2011-2012 collection of the Italian fashion house which will go on air in September. The ads were shot in New York. "We are excited to have Rihanna supporting us in our celebration and building a new generation of fans," said Markus Pinger, representative of the brand. The cosmetics brand teamed up with the 23-year-old to celebrate their 100th anniversary and released a photo of her posing seductively.

The brand earlier roped in stars like David and Victoria Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Megan Fox to represent it.

Rihanna to launch her make-up line

R&B singer Rihanna is planning to launch her own fashion and make-up lines.

"I want to have my own fashion and make-up lines - just experiment with the things that I love," said Rihanna.

The 23-year-old singer says she is also looking forward for a deal with a ‘well-known high street store’.

PETA approves Rihanna’s new perfume Reb’l Fleur

R&B star Rihanna’s new fragrance has been approved by the animal rights activists at PETA as the Bajan beauty has teamed up with Parlux, a cruelty-free company to create it. Reb’l Fleur, which will hit store shelves on January 25 was created by Rihanna in collaboration with the experts at Parlux, who have been on PETA’s ‘good list’, for their policy to not test products on animals. PETA Senior Vice President Dan Mathews is so impressed with the ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker that he sent her a big bouquet of flowers as a token of appreciation for her concern towards animals.

"Rihanna’s decision to team up with Parlux is as kind to animals as her music is to your ears. By renouncing animal tests, Parlux is proving that beauty doesn’t have to have an ugly side," he said.

Rihanna not to mellow down her sexy image

Rihanna has hit out at people who criticise her for being sexy and insisted that she won’t mellow down her raunchy avatar to please anyone. The ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker, who is famous for her revealing stage outfits and bold fashion choices is proud of her body and insists girls who attack her online are "hypocrites" and "unhappy with themselves". "People think I’m overly sexy. It bothers them for some reason. Girls don’t like to see other girls dressed sexy. It’s a little intimidating. There’s always going to be somebody not liking what you do. People have a lot of crazy opinions on things. Things I say, things I wear, places I go. It’s just stupid," Rihanna said. "I’m a 22 year old human being. It’s fine for me to go to a club. People are hypocrites. They can’t wait to say something horrible. Most of them are unhappy with themselves. It’s women who are mad at other women. They should take a look at their own lives. A lot of people don’t have the guts to confront themselves," she added.

Though her online critics make her angry, the singer does accept the fact that her overtly sexual image could annoy people but can’t help it. "Public figures can become annoying. They see me a lot and every time they see me and my assets, so it can get a little irritating. I get that. But I have to do what makes me happy, what I feel like doing," she added.

Rihanna talks about her relation with Chris Brown

R&B superstar Rihanna has for the first time opened up regarding her fight with ex-partner Chris Brown that ended her relationship with him. The 22-year-old singer was beaten black and blue by Brown after she allegedly questioned him about a text messages which he received from an ex-girlfriend.

Though Rihanna has spoken little about the incident, Brown who is still serving community service for his gruesome actions was found guilty of assaulting his then-partner.

The ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker stated that she felt like "an empty vessel" for days following the ugly break-up but insisted that the violent run-in with her ex has transformed her to better person.

"I couldn’t have been the woman I am, the friend, or the sister or the artist, or the role model I am today if I did’t go through what I went through.”

"It’s scary; you just lose touch of everything that you love and everything that you would normally do; how you would dress or how you would say something. I needed that wake-up call in my life. That was the only way I would have gotten out of that relationship", she said.

Rihanna's wax statue unveiled at Tussauds

Rihanna has been honoured with her wax statue at Madame Tussauds museum in Washington DC.

The 22 year old ‘Rude Boy’ hitmaker is now sporting red hair but her wax incarnation copies her previous avatar, with a blonde quiff.

Artists studied hundreds of photographs and video footage to capture the singer’s look.

Rihanna donated the figure’s outfit, which includes a black lace corset, black fitted jacket, black skinny pants and black silk heels.

The figure will be part of the museum’s Glamour Room, where guests can take photographs with the figure.

Rihanna spotted kissing Matt Kemp

R&B singer Rihanna has sparked rumours of romance with baseball player Matt Kemp after the two were spotted smooching in Mexico.

However, Kemp’s representative denies they are an item, insisting they are good friends.

"I think dating may be a stretch at this point”, said agent Dave Stewart.

"They are in Cabo, but past that they are just good friends," he added.

Meanwhile, the ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker has admitted that even though the physical bruises she suffered from ex-boyfriend Chris Brown’s assault have disappeared, the emotional scars still pain her.

The incident took place the night before the Grammys in February last year.

"The physical pain comes and it goes. The bruises fade away. But the emotional scars stay with you”, she said in February issue of American GQ.

Rihanna interested for a career in fashion

Rihanna has become the latest pop sensation to show an interest in Hollywood.

The 21 year old singer has said that she would not only love to star in a movie, but would also be interested in a fashion career.

“I’ve taken some acting lessons so hopefully one day I will have time to do something like that”, said the ‘Russian Roulette’ singer.

“There is so much I want to do, something in fashion as well. I just want to keep getting better,” she added.

Rihanna flew around the world for new album – Rated R

Singer Rihanna has revealed she jetted all over the globe to find inspiration for her new album ‘Rated R’.

The Barbados born singer was determined to make her fourth studio album her best yet and she discovered her influences for the same while travelling the world to find talented collaborators.

"We recorded in New York, L.A., London, Paris. I’m a musician and a musician first. The fame and all that stuff comes with it but nothing is worth it without the music being great. I didn’t care where I had to go - I knew the musicians I wanted to work with, the producers and the writers. Wherever my creative energy was at that moment I went," she said.

"London - most of my creative energy comes from there. Every time I’m there, I get really inspired, really creative. It’s crazy because I just get a really good vibe when I’m there."

"Paris - we were shooting my album cover shoot and doing Fashion Week. We were in Paris so we had to. New York - I spent most of the summer here so again we recorded here. LA - I live there and a lot of producers and songwriters live there too. It was just a matter of timing and the people I wanted to work with," she said.

Rihanna to give interview about Chris Brown’s assault

The first interview with Rihanna about Chris Brown’s assault on her is airing this week on ABC.

The network says the pop star’s one-on-one with Diane Sawyer will air Thursday and Friday on "Good Morning America" and Friday evening on the news magazine "20/20."

Brown’s attack on then-girlfriend Rihanna occurred in February. He was sentenced in August to five years probation, six months of community labor and a year of domestic violence counseling after he pleaded guilty to felony assault.

Rihanna’s ABC interview coincides with the debut of her new single, ‘Russian Roulette, from her upcoming album, "Rated R." It’s her first CD since 2007’s multiplatinum "Good Girl Gone Bad."

Rihanna dating ex beau Chris Brown

Rihanna and her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown reportedly spent time at the same New York hotel over the weekend, even though he is barred from being near her due to a restraining order.

The pair - who are banned from contacting each other after Chris pleaded guilty to felony assault last month following his altercation with Rihanna in February - reportedly stayed at Manhattan’s Trump International Hotel and Tower over the weekend.

The two spent the weekend at the same luxury Midtown hotel under a cloak of secrecy.

Rihanna and Brown appear to have taken great measures to avoid public exposure, including the use of decoy vehicles to throw off reporters and photographers.

Rihanna caught in tattoo trouble

Singer Rihanna is in trouble after she was caught working as a tattoo artist without a licence to do so.

The 21-year-old was spotted wielding a needle in Manhattan parlour East Side Ink and she etched umbrella designs and the letter R on three resident artists.

The tattooing session could end up costing her dear, because tattooists need a licence to hold a needle in New York.

Rihanna could be fined almost USD 2,000 for the three misdemeanour offences.

"Only licensed tattoo artists can administer tattoos in the city according to the City’s Health Code. We are sending someone down to follow up on this," said a New York City Health Department spokesperson.

Rihanna dumps beau Chris Brown for Negus Sealy
