Angelina Jolie bags record £6.5mn ad deal

It has emerged that Angelina Jolie has signed a 6.45-million-pounds deal to become the new face of fashion label Louis Vuitton. The contract is believed to be a record for a single advertising campaign, beating the 3.2-million-pounds deal won by Catherine Zeta-Jones to promote T-Mobile. It dwarfs the 2.5-million-pounds Nicole Kidman was paid to be the face of Chanel perfume and 1.9-million-pounds Gwyneth Paltrow got from Estee Lauder. Reports in the US said, 35 year old, Hollywood babe Angelina is due to take part in a photo shoot with famed photographer Annie Leibowitz. The adverts for the French label will appear in newspapers and magazines later this year.

Angelina Jolie to endorse Louis Vuitton

Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie has reportedly signed a worldwide endorsement deal with Louis Vuitton. Sources close to the agreement told E! Online that the Oscar-winning actress will be paid close to 10 million dollars for lending her famous face to the brand. The "Tourist" actress who raises six children Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, Zahara, six, Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with actor Brad Pitt - has signed a high-profile, print-only deal with the French brand. The international print ad campaign is scheduled to launch this summer with photographer Annie Leibowitz at the helm. According to E! News, the deal would see Jolie earn "close to 66 million pounds ($9.90 million) for the modelling contract."The 35-year-old beauty, who has recently launched a jewellery line, would be following in the footsteps of Madonna and Jennifer Lopez, who have both modelled for Louis Vuitton in the past.

Halle Berry voted Hollywood’s Hottest Mum

Actress Halle Berry has been voted the hottest mother in Hollywood in a new poll. The Oscar winner, who has three-year-old daughter Nahla with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, topped the Hollywood’s hottest mum poll with 24 percent votes. The second place, with 20 percent votes, went to actress Angelina Jolie who raises six kids with partner Brad Pitt. She was followed by Britney Spears at the third spot with 15 percent votes. Actress Salma Hayek and Jessica Alba wrapped up the top five. Angelina Jolie to adopt fourth child from Haiti

Actress Angelina Jolie is reportedly set to adopt a four-year-old orphaned girl from Caribbean nation Haiti. Jolie who already has three adopted children, and naturally conceived Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins, first met the child in February 2010, a month after the natural disaster. "Angelina’s lawyers are in the process of getting an authorisation so Leah can spend some time with her in America. That’s standard procedure, basically they need to make sure Leah will adapt well," said a source. "A lot of observers from groups such as the Red Cross are ensuring that Angelina is treated like anybody else and not fast tracked, which would be viewed insidiously," the source added.

There are worries that the adoption authorities may not be able to cope with the massive interest in Angelina’s plans, but the 35-year-old screen star determined to get through the "final steps" to adopt Leah.

"There is also a concern about the Haitian authorities not being able to deal with such international pressure. But for now, Angelina is almost reaching the final steps of the gruelling adoption process," the source added.

Angelina Jolie donates $ 2 million to African wildlife sanctuary

Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated USD 2 million to a wildlife sanctuary in Namibia where they had spent Christmas with their six children. The donation to the Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary was made in the name of their eldest biological child, daughter Shiloh, who was born in the African country in 2006. They returned this Christmas with Shiloh and her five siblings to the sanctuary, which looks after orphaned and injured animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs and baboons.

The sanctuary, run by Dr Rudie van Vuuren and wife Marlice, were given the money through the couple’s Jolie-Pitt Foundation. "We have known Rudie and Marlice for many years and continue to be impressed by their hard work and dedication to the people and conservation of the land and wildlife of Namibia," said 35-year-old Jolie.

During their holiday, the couple’s children helped the staff at the lodge to feed and care for baby baboons, foxes and saw a leopard released into the wild.

Angelina Jolie designs jewellery

Angelina Jolie has teamed up with designer Robert Procop to create a jewellery line ‘The Protector’ to help child victims of war and natural disasters. The jewellery collection will be sold through the designer’s clients with all proceeds going to ‘Education Partnership for Children of Conflict’, a charity co-founded by the ‘Changeling’ star. "These are the children who most need a safe place to learn, a place to heal, a place to learn reconciliation, a place to build a better future and a place, to just be children," said the 35 year old actress. Jolie wore one of the pieces from the collection, a faceted black necklace set in rose gold, to the Berlin premiere of her film ‘Salt’ earlier this year.

Robert, who has designed for the actress for a decade now, said, "Angelina has very classic style. These are pieces she wears herself."
