Fergie launches 2nd fragrance with Avon
FergieFergie, whose debut fragrance broke sales records for Avon last year, is set to launch her second perfume ‘Outspoken Intense’. The Black Eyed Peas singer announced plans to launch her second fragrance at an event to celebrate Avon’s 125th anniversary. The 36-year-old said that Outspoken Intense was inspired by “that moment of adrenaline and being fearless” before she goes on stage. The six-time Grammy winner also stars in a television commercial to promote the fragrance. It shows her spritzing herself with the fragrance ahead of a performance. She took to the stage at New York’s Madison Square Garden in an orange Diane von Furstenberg dress ahead of the debut screening. “It’s about that intense feeling I get before going on stage. That moment of adrenaline and being fearless,” said Fergie. She added that she played a large role in developing the scent. “I had so much fun developing and launching my first fragrance with Avon, so for my second fragrance, I really wanted to add a little more edge. “Outspoken Intense is a provocative blend of sexy confidence and daring femininity that captures the thrill and excitement of being centre stage. “You feel an instant electrifying rush - a feeling like no other,” she added. Avon’s Jason King added: “We are thrilled to be working with Fergie again as she is a true representation of female empowerment.”

Fergie fearing about Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction
FergieFergie has revealed that she has carefully chosen her Superbowl outfit so as to avoid a wardrobe malfunction. The star said that it has been a "challenge" to pick the outfit. The Black Eyed Peas are set to perform during halftime at the American football game on Sunday, and organizers want the show to be family friendly. Fergie’s stylist has spent a lot of time making sure her costume will be secure when she is on stage. "It is a challenge because we want to give a bit of sex appeal but you don’t want to get into any trouble. So we are very particular about the wardrobe, there will be no more malfunctions,” said Fergie. "We are just making sure that everything is secure and tucked in and nobody is going to get angry."

"A little sex appeal is OK; I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. I know that my stylist was talking to the NFL. There were definitely points of contention, you know, certain things cannot be shown. It is serious. I am getting a lot of rules," Fergie added.

Fergie creates a perfume with Avon
Fergie launches perfume with AvonFergie thinks it was fate that she was asked to create a perfume with Avon. "They approached me, and what girl doesn’t want to have a fragrance? What was interesting to me was that my grandma was an Avon lady. My mom used to help her package all the Avon stuff and have these little parties, so for me it was just a sign," said Fergie. "I also love all the work they do with breast cancer and cancer survivors," she added. Fergie also revealed how she and Avon worked on the fragrance for two years as she wanted to get the smell just right.

"We worked on the fragrance for two years. They asked me for my favourite smells from childhood. Besides my mom’s lasagne, one of the things I thought of was my old rock ‘n’ roll leather jacket - I love the smell of that, and it matched my personality as well," she said.

"So now there’s a hint of leather in her perfume- Outspoken. I toughened it up a little bit," she added.

Fergie launches her own perfume
FergieAfter Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Rihanna, it is now ‘Black Eyed Peas’ singer Fergie who is launching her own perfume which she is calling ‘Outspoken’.

The ‘Glamorous’ hitmaker said that she decided to call her scent ‘Outspoken’ as she wanted it to be, "strong and empowering", not "cutesy".

"I didn’t want to call it Duchess, or Glamorous, or Fergalicious, or something that I’ve already done. I didn’t want it to be so cutesy. I wanted it to be strong and empowering, something that represents me as a whole woman, a fearless woman," said the singer-actress.

The fragrance developed with cosmetic firm Avon will surely turn heads, says the singer.

"From my music to my wardrobe, my style is all about speaking up and making a statement. That’s why my first-ever fragrance exudes independence.

‘Outspoken’ definitely turns heads, but it also lets your true personality shine through," said the 34 year old.

The scent mixes notes of starfruit, tuberose, jasmine, and passion flower with base notes like black leather and smoky vetiver, and has already won over one person, Fergie’s husband, actor Josh Duhamel.
