Julianne Moore to play Sarah Palin

Julianne Moore has been cast to play former US Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin in HBO’s new flick ‘Game Change’. Based on the best-selling book of the same name by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin, the film is about the 2008 US elections and follows Senator John McCain’s presidential bid from his selection of then Alaska Governor Palin as his running mate to their defeat in the general election. This film will be directed by Jay Roach, director of the "Meet the Parents" movies as well as the HBO film "Recount." And the scriptwriter is Danny Strong who has won an Emmy for his screenplay of "Recount," about the 2000 presidential election.

Jay Roach will direct the film from a script by Danny Strong. They previously worked together on HBO’s ‘Recount’, which followed the aftermath of the 2000 presidential election.

Julianne Moore says no to cosmetic surgery

Julianne Moore doesn’t think that going under the knife would make any difference to her appearance and is quite sure she will never go for it. The 49 year old actress insists she would still feel her age, regardless of how her appearance changes. "First and foremost, I’m an actor and so I don’t want to do anything to my face," said Moore.

"I can do whatever I want, and I’m still going to be 49 years old, it’s not going to change anything.

"I don’t know that I’m going to look any younger, I’m just going to look like I’ve had something done to my face," Moore added.

Julianne Moore plays Hillary Clinton in Special Relationship

Julianne Moore has been roped in to play Hillary Clinton in a new movie Special Relationship.

The actress will share the frame with Dennis Quaid, who will portray former U.S. President Bill Clinton.

The film will explore the relationship between Tony Blair, played by Michael Sheen, and Bill Clinton between 1997 and 2000.

According to China Daily, “It will also tell the story of how Clinton’s “inappropriate relationship” with Monica Lewinsky cost him his place in the White House”.

A source said: "This is a big role for both of them. Playing Hillary, a wife who stands by her unfaithful husband, will be something she can get her teeth stuck into."

The movie would be the final one in the political trilogy written by Peter Morgan, after The Deal, based on Tony Blair’s rise to power in the British Labour Party, and The Queen, which depicted the reaction of the British Royal Family following the death of Diana, Princess of Wales in 1997.
