Kareena Kapoor to flaunt her assets

Producer Ekta Kapoor, who is all set to make the sequel of her film ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai’ a bigger block buster is hell bent to recreate reality on the silver screen in the closest possible way! With Akshay Kumar playing Dawood Ibrahim in the film and Kareena Kapoor essaying the role of his ladylove, Ekta and her director Milan Luthria are geared up to make one of the finest biopic of all times. It is believed that Dawood fell in love with actress Mandakini of the ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’ fame after seeing her in the waterfall-bathing scene in the film repeatedly. This is where the light eyed starlet of the 1980s had flaunted her assets with just a white saree. And ironically Bebo, who will play Mandakini in OUATIM sequel has agreed to do the sizzling scene which was originally directed by her grandfather, the late Raj Kapoor.

The Kapoor girl had little inhibitions on agreeing to do this scene on learning that the script demanded it. Moreover, she has complete faith in filmmaker Luthria for she knows he will shoot it aesthetically.

Said a source, "Bebo is not averse to the idea of doing the water scene, as long as it is aesthetically shot. She knows Milan’s sensibilities are very good."

Kareena to launch Bebo - a line of signature collection of handbags and clutches

Kareena Kapoor has always been known for her outstanding sense of fashion. At red carpet events, award ceremonies, music and movies launches, the actress has always won accolades for her fine choice of couture and accessories. And now her fans can own something coming from her taste too. Yes, the ‘Jab We Met’ star has decided to launch her own line of signature clutches for women, the collection will be called after her popular nickname, Bebo. Said a source, "Kareena was recently appointed brand ambassador for a range of handbags. The company observed that their sales shot up after she began endorsing the product. They were so happy that they came up with the idea of having a limited edition clutch called Bebo!" The actress is currently working on materializing a plan to launch the collection. And if all goes well, the collection would be launched in the market soon.

Kareena Kapoor voted Bollywood sexiest woman

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor has been named the sexiest woman by Stardust magazine. Kareena beats actresses like Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra to win the title. The decision has been made on the basis of an extensive research and readers responses. The latest issue of Stardust magazine features the list of top 10 sexiest women.

Last year, it was Katrina who topped the list of sexiest women in Bollywood.

Kareena replaces Priyanka in an International ad

Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor has snatched a plump offer from Priyanka Chopra to become the ambassador of a global brand. It’s reported that Bebo replaced Piggy Chops to feature in an international ad. Interestingly, Kareena, who is quite popular among the ‘international brand circuit’, has finally got the third international commercial. "Initially the brand wanted Priyanka as their ambassador. But after conducting a survey, they chose Kareena. The research showed that she is well known in the international brand circuit," said a source. "She endorses 14 brands and is way ahead of the others. The brand was also looking for iconic, aspirational and youth centric elements that are signature Kareena. She is a global face today”, the source added.

Currently Kareena is busy with her films and endorsements. The source said further, "She is busy shooting for Atul Agnihotri’s ‘Bodyguard’ with Salman Khan in Pune. A special team of technicians including make-up, hair and photographer are coming from London to shoot the ad with her. She shoots for her ads at night and the day is kept for the film’s shooting."

Kareena to endorse Mahindra Rodeo PowerScooter

After riding a two-wheeler in the blockbuster film ‘3 Idiots’, actress Kareena Kapoor has now been appointed as the brand ambassador of Mahindra’s new two wheeler - PowerScooter.

"My experience with Mahindra scooter dates back to two years ago, when I rode a Mahindra PowerScooter in ‘3 Idiots’. I am delighted to be working with them," Kareena said.

The 30 year old will feature in a multimedia campaign for the brand. The first campaign will be for the Mahindra Rodeo, which will be launched later this month.

Kareena said, "Rodeo is a youthful, fun and fresh brand. It has the right mix of style and power."

According to Anoop Mathur, president, two-wheeler sector and member of the group executive board, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, "The company has roped in Kareena for her strong connect with the youth, who are inspired by her hard work, discipline and natural acting talent.”

Kareena Kapoor charging Rs 5 cr for Short Term Shaadi

Bollywood is rife with rumours that Kareena Kapoor has charged a whopping Rs 5 crore for Karan Johar’s ‘Short Term Shaadi’. Starring Imran Khan, when the actress was quizzed about her newly hiked fee, the size-zero lass was at her diplomatic best as she snubbed the query with an apt reply.

The actress said, “Karan is family, we don’t discuss money or even scripts. He tells me when to start shooting and pays me what I deserve. I certainly hope he gives me this much.”

When asked whether she will be getting herself a ‘chaddi-tee’ wardrobe, Kareena rubbished the rumour stating that she will not compromise on clothes to up the glam quotient of ‘Short Term Shaadi’ as she said, “Besides, shorts have been done to death in the movies. And my fans didn’t like the ‘Tashan’ look. So I’ll be wearing lots of clothes with a ‘Jab We Met’ kind of a vibe.”

But isn’t she going back to size zero on KJo’s instructions? “No!” pat comes the reply. “This size zero nonsense has been going on for too long. I’m grateful to Shah Rukh Khan for taking the mantle away for me. Ever since he got into those body suits for ‘Ra.One’, people have been discussing his weight loss rather than mine,” she said.

For now, Kareena is all praise for SRK’s lean look for ‘Ra.One’ as she said, “I saw the rushes recently and he looks so hot. We have an Italian director of photography and he has captured my best features too. Both ‘Ra.One’ and Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Agent Vinod’ are big summer releases and I’m looking forward to them.”

Talking about ‘Short Term Shaadi’, Kareena said, “It’s a riot. If it’s made the way it is written, you will be rolling in the aisles too. Both Imran and I have performance driven roles.”

Apparently, post ‘3 Idiots’, Kareena will soon be seen with Aamir in an advertisement as she added, “I’d die to do a film with Aamir, preferably a love story. But there’s nothing on the cards at the moment. And given Aamir’s pace, by the time he’s ready for a Kapoor, it will probably be Samaira (sister Karisma Kapoor’s daughter) and not me opposite him.”

Kareena Kapoor to play Indira Gandhi

Kareena Kapoor might be in for an opportunity of a lifetime, as the actress is the top contender for essaying the role of Indira Gandhi in her international biopic. Titled ‘Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story’, the biopic will now have Kareena who has reportedly beaten Priyanka Chopra to play the most influential politician in the history of Indian politics.

The Hollywood producers were initially in favour of Priyanka but it seems the Oscar-winning make-up artistes Jenny Shircore and Greg Connam, working on the project, were divided on the producer’s choice. The two now feel that that Bebo looks closer to Indira than Priyanka.

Confirms a source, "Veteran Hollywood script-writer Krishna Shah, who has also made films for Bollywood like Shalimar, has gone to solve the mystery of which actress would look more like Indira on screen. While Shircore, who won the Academy for her work in ‘Elizabeth’, felt that Priyanka is the only actress, Connam, who worked on ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’, has now started to think that Kareena is more perfect. As of now, the two are seriously looking over Kareena’s features for a near match before they approach her."

Krishna also spoke, “Casting is 80 per cent of directing. In a biopic, it is 90 per cent of directing. Can you imagine Gandhi without Ben Kingsley or Nixon without Anthony Hopkins or Patton without George C. Scott? Indira’s film provides incredible scope for the make-up artistes.”

As for what drew them to Kareena, Krishna said, “She has a strong jaw and deep eyes and the time for make-up will not be taxing. Indira at 20 will take about an hour. She at 50, about two hours; and she at 67, three hours because of the advancement in the art of make-up.”

Kareena, who endorses numerous big brands, is presently the most-wanted Bollywood face by the advertisers, according to the magazine that rates the actress 10/10 on her brand value.

The second on list is none other than Katrina Kaif, who shares the spot with Aishwarya Rai with a brand value of 9/10. Priyanka Chopra stood in the third position with brand value of 8/10, followed by Deepika Padukone and Bipasha Basu, sharing the position with a brand value of 6/10.

Nevertheless, Kareena has reportedly featured on the list alongside three male bigwigs - MS Dhoni, Shah Rukh Khan and Sachin Tendulkar.

Added a source, "Kareena has reached phenomenal heights. She had the maximum ad volumes of celebrity endorsement (FMCG brands) on TV during 2009 as well."

Saif Ali Khan is my man for life, says Kareena Kapoor

After a widely publicised break-up with Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor started dating Saif Ali Khan and she is convinced that he is the man with whom she wants to live the rest of her life.

"One does feel settled in every relationship that one is in, but this time I am with the man I want to live with for the rest of my life," Kareena told her friend and director Karan Johar on the TV show "Lift Kara De".

In the episode, to be aired on Sony, Kareena makes candid confessions about her life and even shows a fun side of herself.

Kareena is considered one of the highest paid actress in tinsel town, but she snubbed it saying: "How can I say that when I don’t know what the others are earning? Besides, I would never do a film for the money alone."

The actress will be seen next in movies like "Milenge Milenge", "Ra One" and Hindi remake of Hollywood film "Stepmom".

Kareena Kapoor roped in by Madhur Bhandarkar

If all goes well, Kareena Kapoor will soon emerge as a strong contender to win the National Award. The stunning lass who has been vying to work with acclaimed director Madhur Bhandarkar for long now has finally caught the taskmaster’s attention and will be seen in a film by the maverick filmmaker. And it’s all owing to Kareena’s desire to bag the prestigious National Award.

Considering that there are so many random awards of late, the only award that is considered prestigious is the National Film Awards. And Madhur takes the lead in this category. They have both been keen on working together for a long time. Madhur had approached her for Page 3 (Konkana’s role) and for Fashion (Priyanka’s role) but her dates didn’t work out.”

Kareena Kapoor refuses giving award to Katrina Kaif

Bebo aka Kareena Kapoor has been finding her constant comparisons with Katrina Kaif insulting, so now she has apparently decided to fight it out with Kat!

Although Bebo has some acclaimed performances to her credit, gossipmongers don’t seem to refrain from pitting her against Kat. And this has annoyed Bebo to the extent that the actress has now taken to criticising Katrina in public, it seems.

Kareena made her dislike for Kat quite event at a recent award function when she refused to give away an award to Katrina. Grapevine has it that when the organisers asked Bebo to present a trophy to Katrina, she simply refused saying that Kat too had declined to give away her trophy, so why should she.

Oh really? When did that happen? Only if you insist Bebo!

Anyhow, the two sizzlers have been compared for long but Kareena’s outburst first happened recently after an article declared both actresses to be at par for their films in 2010.

Kareena Kapoor to receive a special Christmas Gift

This year’s Christmas is surely going to be very special for Kareena Kapoor. The actress is already looking forward to the release of her much-awaited flick ‘3 Idiots’ on December 25, and now the latest news suggests that she’s also awaiting to receive a special X’mas tree that will come shipped in from UK.

Reports reveal that recently when Bebo was in London to promote her film ‘Kurbaan’, she indulged in shopping at Harrods, and the actress fell in love with a huge fir tree. So, she decided to ship it back, instead of having an artificial tree in parlour this time.

Kareena said, "I am very excited about the natural fir tree I chose from Harrods. They have a wonderful Christmas department there. I did all my X’mas shopping there. For the last 20 years, we’ve had Christmas plum pudding shipped from there, as it’s my mom’s favourite and the best in this world. Normally, we have fake fir trees for Christmas at home. They are not too large and look synthetic. So when I saw this huge, beautiful, lush green, natural tree, I couldn’t resist it! I bought it and had it shipped back through Karan’s production team as I couldn’t carry it back myself."

After having endorsed a wide variety of products right from shampoos (Garnier) to fashion wear (Globus), gorgeous actress Kareena Kapoor has bagged yet another big endorsement deal. Kareena would be seen launching and promoting Sony Vaio's new 'Size Zero' laptops. The actress is currently in the capital to attend a press conference announcing the launch of the ultra-thin 'Size Zero' laptops by Sony Vaio.

The actress, who was responsible for making 'Size Zero' a household term a couple of years ago, thus becomes the first Indian brand ambassador of Sony Vaio. Kareena ditches Saif for Aamir

Call her overtly secure or a hardcore professional but Kareena Kapoor has once again decided to ditch her Prince Charming Saif Ali Khan on her upcoming birthday. The sizzler, who had last year left her man high and dry as she opted for finishing her shoot, has this time too chosen work over pleasure.

According to reports, Bebo will be shooting for ‘3 Idiots’ on her birthday September 21. Going in flashback, last year too, Bebo was shooting for the same film and her beau Saif had flown down to the shooting location to be with her. And if our guess is any better, this year too the obsessed lover will be chasing after his lady to accompany her.

As for Bebo’s reasons for working on the film, it’s Aamir! Sources tell us that the shooting of the film was to happen in August but because of Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao’s personal tragedy, it was postponed indefinitely. Now finally, the makers have decided to wrap up the shoot between Sept 20 and Oct 2.

And everyone working on the film including Kareena has decided to ward off their other commitments to finish this film on schedule for a December 25 release. Well, Saif will have to wait for next year to figure in Bebo’s birthday plans.

Kareena reveals her secret diet that keeps her super fit

Bollywood has been bitten by the fitness bug where male brigade is running after sculpted abs and their female counterparts are leaving no stone unturned to attain sexy svelte avatar. Known for her vivacious disposition and much hyped size zero figure, Kareena Kapoor is one of the fittest divas of Bollywood.

Kareena Kapoor, who is working for Raj Kumar Hirani’s much touted project 3 Idiots, is shooting in the extreme conditions at Panagong Lake in Kashmir.

With the rest of the crew members gasping for breath, feeling giddy and feeble, thanks to the low levels of oxygen at high altitudes, Kareena is super fit, courtesy her special diet.

Kareena has been following a strict diet regimen prepared by famous nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar. "It’s tough working in extreme climactic conditions. Fortunately, I am surviving because of my yoga and diet, which I change according to the climate of the area where I shoot." Said Kareena.

According to Rujuta, "I had given her a diet rich in carbohydrates as Pangong and Ladakh are low in oxygen. Carbs give oxygen and allow her body to burn fat. Also the shooting is hectic, so she needs her calories. Kareena is eating the local staple diet of the Ladakhis Thukpa (noodle soup), goat cheese, momos, and Leh berries (made from the juice of seabuckthorn, which are rich anti-oxidants and good fat burners."

Well, now it’s clear that a strict diet regimen is the secret behind Kareena’s super sexy figure.

Kareena Kapoor Getting Married!!

Kareena Kapoor’s relationship with Saif Ali Khan seems to be solidifying as each day passes by.

Having bought a flat in the posh Khar area in Mumbai, the lady has moved in closer to Saif’s residence recently. However, the actress denies any plans of getting married some time too.

Kareena Kapoor clarifies that all her dates have been booked until the end of 2010 and she cannot even contemplate a runaway marriage at the moment.

It is worth mentioning here that Saif, in a recent interview, said that his father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi’s household has started to affectionately refer Kareena as Choti Begum.
