‘Namaste India!’ said socialite Paris Hilton as she launched her exclusive handbag collection here, on her first visit to the country, which she called a "spiritual and magical" land. "I have come to India to launch my line of bags. I had been wanting to come to India for a very long time because it is an incredible market. But I just didn’t get time before," Hilton said at a media gathering. Dressed in a peach-pink dress which resembled the drape of a sari, Paris looked every bit of a style icon. She added an Indian touch with a three-layered uncut diamond neck piece, and completed the look with a black clutch. The 30-year-old arrived early Saturday morning, and said she was overwhelmed with the reception at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

"When I came out of the airport in the morning, there were so many people waiting...much more than what I was expecting. I can’t wait to come back!" she said.

"I am very happy to be here. India is an amazing place. I have heard from a lot of friends who have come here before that coming to India changes your life because it is a spiritual and magical place," Hilton added.

Her line of bags, launched in association with Brand Concepts Pvt Ltd, looked as stylish as her - as revealed by the sneak preview at the event. The bags, priced between Rs.2,000 and Rs.11,000, will be available at two stores in Mumbai.

However, details have been kept under wraps for now. The range boasts of clutches, totes, slings and regular handbags in colours like black, brown, white, peach-pink and silver.

Socialite Paris Hilton is set to launch a range of skin care products and says she is using top-of-the-line technology to prepare it."We’re developing a skin care line. It’s a new product that we’re working on but it’s the top-of-the-line technology. I have been taking really good care of my skin, so I will have products that are amazing for your skin," said Hilton. Hilton, who has already established herself as a successful perfumer, will launch the range of creams and lotions soon.

Paris Hilton brushes off $35mn hair lawsuit

Paris Hilton has announced that the 35-million-dollar lawsuit filed against her has been dropped. The 30-year-old hotel heiress said that hair-extension company HairTech has admitted that it got its allegations wrong and dropped the case it filed against her in LA last August. HairTech International principal Chris Volek had complained Hilton was seen out wearing competitors’ hair extensions and that she missed a launch party for its product when she went to jail in 2007, costing the firm 6.6 million dollars in lost revenue. Hilton had strongly denied their claims and filed a 1.7 million dollars countersuit. The socialite, however, insists no money has been paid to HairTech to drop the suit.

"It is certainly not unusual for businesspeople to have their disagreements, but I am glad that Chris has acknowledged the hard work and dedication I put into promoting his products,” said Hilton.

Volek said in a statement, "The information I received from others and on which I based the lawsuit was not accurate."

Hairtech International has claimed in its lawsuit against Hilton that she cost them 70 million dollars when she went back on her deal to promote and wear its hair extensions. Hairtech alleged that Hilton pocketed 3.5 million dollars from the company for endorsing the extensions, but then started wearing those of rival companies.

They also claim that when Hilton went to jail in 2007, she breached the deal by breaking the law.

The hotel heiress and reality TV star wore a tight pink leather catsuit to announce the new venture in Madrid. The 29 year old posed with her very own customized two-wheeled vehicle, embellished with pink crystals.

Hilton announced at the press conference that she has started her own team called SuperMartxe VIP by Paris Hilton.

She will scout for drivers in partnership with a Barcelona-based team, By Queroseno Racing (BQR). The team will then compete in the 2011 MotoGP World Championship season.

Hilton will be required to attend five of next season’s races as part of her contract.

Meanwhile, Reinhardt insisted that most tabloids published false reports on the reason behind the split.

He said: "Despite what many uninformed tabloid journalists are saying, Paris and I met at her house last night and have decided to split again.

“It’s unfortunate that things are being said about us that are inaccurate. I continue to wish her only the best."

The couple had parted ways last year for several months, before rekindling their relationship.

Socialite Paris Hilton has bagged the “Reality Innovator” honour at the Fox Reality Channel’s “Really Awards”.

The ‘Reallys’, is the only awards show to celebrate the best in reality television and the ‘Simple Life’ star was jubilated to receive the honour.

"So happy! Just won The Reality Innovator Award, for being the Innovator of Reality TV. Loves it," Hilton wrote on her Twitter page.

The 28 year old hotel heiress was joined on the red carpet by her sister Nicky Hilton, Karina Smirnoff, Aaron Carter and Vivica A Fox.

The 28 year old heiress first showed up on the reality TV scene with her friend Nicole Richie in the Fox series ‘The Simple Life’, which premiered in 2003.

After Richie and Hilton refused to work together, another TV show titled ‘Paris Hilton’s My New BFF”, about her looking for a new best friend aired in 2008.

Thereafter, “Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend” went on air in January this year. She has also finished shooting for “Paris Hilton’s Dubai BFF”. Apart from her own shows Hilton has also appeared in other TV programmes and music videos.

Paris Hilton’s Diamond Quest, the first official mobile game from the controversial hotel heiress, has been launched in the country as part of a collaboration between Reliance Mobile and US-based mobile games company Gameloft.

Paris Hilton in trouble, Boyfriend protects

Doug Reinhardt got caught in a brawl after a man tried to grope girlfriend Paris Hilton at a Los Angeles club.

The couple were dancing at H-Wood when an intoxicated male approached the heiress and tried to touch her cleavage. Doug protected his lady and pushed the guy after which the guy was beaten by Doug’s boys and kicked him out of the club.

The incident even shocked fellow club-goers Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, who were also dancing alongside Hilton and Reinhardt.

However, Hilton and Reinhardt kept their calm and behaved normally after the incident.
