Charlize Theron is the face of Dior watches
Charlize TheronHollywood actress Charlize Theron is the face of the Dior VIII watch collection. The 35-year-old star, who has previously served as the representative for the French brand J’adore’s fragrance collection - did not hesitate when she was asked to work with Dior because she saw how "good looking" the watch was. "To work with them was a no-brainer and when I saw the product I was like, ‘That is a good looking watch!’," she said. However, the Oscar-winning beauty has not always been a great fan of watches and only recently began to sport the wrist accessory because she "missed" it. "I didn’t even wear a watch for like 10 years and only two years ago did I start wearing one again. I really missed it as a piece of jewellery," she said. Theron also said that she had never come to terms with seeing billboards with her face on them.

"How is that normal? It’s always incredibly bizarre. It’s like an out of body experience in many ways. I’m very proud of it, but it’s very awkward to look at yourself like that," she said.

Charlize Theron kisses for $140,000
Charlize TheronSouth African-born actress Charlize Theron auctioned off a kiss for USD140,000 and the winning bidder was a woman.

Theron, 34, took part in a live auction during a gala for the charity OneXOne in San Francisco. She was initially selling a 2010 trip to South Africa that included World Cup tickets, a safari and a meet-and-greet with Nelson Mandela.

But she raised the stakes after bidding stalled at USD37,000 far less than actor Jeremy Piven had just raised.

To sweeten the deal, she offered up a seven-second kiss for $130,000 to a male bidder, but a woman in the audience quickly bettered the deal with a USD140,000 bid.

Theron is in a long-term relationship with actor Stuart Townsend, 36.

"My boyfriend is not here tonight," she joked before a smooch that lasted 20 seconds.

Charlize Theron proud of 2003 Oscar win
Charlize TheronCharlize Theron has said she is proud of winning the Oscar in 2003, as many actors she admires have not won the award.

"I’m very proud of that Oscar and I understand what an honour it is because I have so many actors I admire tremendously that have never experienced that," said the actress.

The actress had taken home the prize for her role of real-life murderer Aileen Wuornos in ‘Monster’.

The beauty has in fact placed it at a place in her house where people can notice it.

She added: "It’s in my office, right next to a bathroom that lots of people use in the house. People will come up and be like, ‘I just walked past an Oscar.’ I’ll be like, ‘Isn’t that awesome?”
