Salma Hayek to launch her beauty products

Mexican actress, director and producer Salma Hayek’s first beauty line, which is set to launch at 7,000 CVS Pharmacy stores nationwide from August, is expected to make 35million dollars in its first year alone. The star has taken the past three years off from acting to focus on the development of the 100-product range of cosmetics, called Nuance Salma Hayek. The range, which comprises everything from make-up to anti-ageing skincare, also includes some rather less predictable products, such as a Correcting Spot Treatment 10perdent Sulfur Acne Treatment. But though the range will have a budget price point (from 7.99 dollars-19.99 dollars) the formulations, the ‘Frida’ star said, will rival anything at the top of the market.

“It is possible to create extraordinary product for a low price. Everyone should have the right product at the right price,” said Salma at an event to launch the line.

“A lot of products don’t even cost a lot to make. I wanted to make simply the best product and give everyone access to the good stuff,” she said.

The mother-of-one, who is married to PPR boss Francois-Henri Pinault, said that her grandmother, a cosmetologist who was an advocate of Native American and Mayan formulations, inspired the line.

"You know how if you burn the stone of the mamey fruit and rub it on your eyelashes it makes them grow," she added.

She is teaming up with budget US drug store Cvs to sell her Nuance beauty line.

Salma Hayek set the temperatures soaring when she got into the warm waters of Saint Barthelemy in a bikini. The glamorous actress is vacationing in the French West Indies with her adorable three-year-old daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault. The 44-year-old Mexican-born actress showed her daughter how to brave the ocean, marching right in through the waves.

Hayek married Francois-Henri Pinault last year, two years after giving birth to their daughter.

Mexican actress Salma Hayek left little to the imagination when she showed off her voluptuous assets during a night out in Los Angeles.

The 43 year old actress wore a tight brown zip-up leather top, with a black skirt and brown thigh high boots, to swanky restaurant Madeo.

The ‘Ugly Betty’ star was seen without her tycoon husband Francois-Henri Pinault, with whom she has a daughter, Valentina, who turns three-years-old in September.

Meanwhile, the actress recently starred alongside Adam Sandler in mainstream comedy film ‘Grown Ups’.

Mexican beauty Salma Hayek and businessman beau Francois-Henri Pinault have been judged as Hollywood's Richest Couple, in a poll conducted by In Touch Weekly. It was the pair's combined fortune that made them win.

Pinault's luxury goods company PPR, which owns Gucci Yves Saint Laurent, is said to be worth over 14 billion dollars.

Others making to the Power Pair Top 10 list were Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel , and American Idol judge Simon Cowell and Teri Seymour, reports Contactmusic.

Jessica Simpson and American football star Tony Romo also made it to the list.
