Elin Nordegren to auction off jewellery worth $2.5mn

Ace golfer and love-rat Tiger Woods’ ex-wife Elin Nordegren is set to auction off jewellery worth 2.5 million dollars given to her by the golfer during their five-year marriage - including her engagement ring. The 30-year-old has chosen auction house Sotheby’s to stage the sale, which will include baubles from Tiffany, Harry Winston and Cartier. “It’s the ultimate act of revenge. It’s her way of saying, ‘Now do you get the message? It’s over!” said a source close to the mother-of-two as saying.

“She treasured the pieces as gifts from a loving husband, but now figures they were more likely things he bought without much care to cover his guilt,” the source added.

The Swedish beauty may rake in millions from the sale, but her decision to part with the jewels certainly isn’t for the money.

“Money doesn’t make you happy,” she told.

“But I have to be honest: It is making some things easier. I have the opportunity to be with my children as much as I want.

“My immediate plan is for the kids and me to continue to adjust to our new situation,” she added.

It seems Tiger Woods’ ex wife Elin Nordegren wants to part with every thing linked to the ace golfer. Nordegren is ready to auction the jewellery, which Woods bought her.

The former Swedish model hopes to make more than 1million pounds from the sale of jewellery.

The treasures are believed to include Erin’s 200,000 pounds antique diamond engagement ring.

All three have received a raft of new votes in FHM Magazine’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll.

Girls Aloud’s Cheryl nearly doubled her votes this week following the announcement that the singer is to separate from husband Ashley.

TV host Tess Daly also received more votes, taking her into the top 50. She is reported to have forgiven hubby Vernon for sending sexy texts to glamour model Rhian Sugden.

She’s joined in an upsurge in popularity by blonde Swedish beauty Erin, who golf superstar better half Woods categorically denies she hit him with a golf club when she found out he’d been playing around earlier this year.

Erin is said to have jetted off to an unknown location after he begged for forgiveness live on American TV last week.
