Boman Irani plays Father to Minissha Lamba

Minissha Lamba and Boman Irani are sharing a wonderful paternal relation. Minissha is working in the uopcoming movie- Abba Ka Kuan in which Boman Irani plays her father.

Minissha is so taken up by Boman’s persona that their onscreen warmth is spilling offscreen as well.

“Literally I adopted Boman as my father while we were off the sets. I would call him Abba all the time and he too would call me by the name of the character I play. The bond between the father and the daughter would be played out post pack up every evening, so much so that when something had to be done, I would take permission from Abba,” confesses Minissha.

While the game is having wonderful effects on their performance, it is doing wonders to their personal equation too.

If this kind of work-dedication is lives in real life, some very natural acting is guaranteed no doubt.

Sameera Reddy has been on the silver screen with her usual item numbers and it was a Bollywood shot for the Fashion Week yet again when she walked the ramp for outfits designed by designers Falguni and Shane. Another bollywood chic walking the ramp for designer duo was Minissha Lamba. Sameera and Minissha just dazzled the audience.

Sameera looked ravishing as the dull pink colour accentuated her complexion. Minissha dressed in a pearl white short dress looked very delicate with her petite frame. Sameera was dressed in a dull pink evening dress with the feathery touch - signature style of the designer duo.

Well, that's how this Goddess of Beauty can be rightly described, who has only added glitters to the already glittering cover of the recent issue of Maxim. She is none other than Minissha Lamba, who has, today, deservingly become not just the talk of the town, but also the toast of the town.

Had she not become an actress, journalism was the way to go for this chic, who, only recently 'kidnapped' every cinegoer's dream with her star-tling screen presence in the recent flick Kidnap. Even though the film saw a roller coaster collections at the Box-Office windows, but everyone who saw the film was on high with Minissha's dose.

Well, for those who are envious about the secret behind this svelte hour glass figure, eat your hearts out, as, on her own admission, Minissha says that it's actually "Imran helped me in my weight loss regime". And what does this beauty think of as her 'best feature'? Well, the answer to that are her hands.

Here comes the real shocker. If one has to ask this lasso out on a date, then, the best way is neither through an Armani, Gucci nor even Louis Vuitton. Instead, Minissha says that "The surefire way to score a date with me is not to show too much interest. I like it when someone keeps me guessing" Well, so you see, you will have to act 'dis-interested' to get this ''Miss-interested”.

She confesses that she is not someone who is easy to approach. One will only manage to score those brownie points on intelligence. Standard pickup lines just do not happen in Minissha's life.

Sanjay Gadhvi's Kidnap has a lot of surprise packages in store. One, it has the very chocolaty Imran Khan in a negative role, and two, it has made Miss Goody Two Shoes Minissha Lamba do the unthinkable – wear a bikini. Caught in a candid mood, Minissha talks about the film.

"Kidnap is the story of a girl who has never seen her father but when she gets kidnapped her father shows up. It is Imran Khan who kidnaps the girl and then the whole story starts shaping up. There begins the father's struggle to get his daughter back. I can't reveal the story of the film further but there is a lot to watch out for," she says.

After being featured as one of the three lucky girls in Yash Raj's Bachna Ae Haseeno, Minissha is all set to compete with Priyanka Chopra. Well, they are not doing a film together but the two are going to fight it out for the 'hot bod' title with both gals ready to flaunt some itsy bitsy attire in their forthcoming films. While Priyanka is going to show off her beach wear in Dostana, Minnisha dares to don some cool bikinis in Kidnap. "I am absolutely comfortable wearing a bikini and wouldn't mind wearing it again. I think every woman looks extremely beautiful and attractive in a bikini. But I was a little worried about my body," admits Minissha talking about her experience with the two-piece.

The chubby actress, who after the release of Bachna Ae Haseeno said that it was great working with Ranbir, now seems to be rather confused between him and her new co-star Imran. When asked to pick the better of the two, she says, "Well, I can't decide who's better between Imran and Ranbir. Imran is very cute and so is Ranbir."

While romance for Minnisha has been sizzling hot on screen right from her first film Yahaan, but in real life she has no time for love. She seems to be working day in day out. "I am not the romantic girl like my character in Bachna Ae Haseeno. I can't afford to be romantic in real life because I work round the clock," she says.

Minissha Lamba is going through a massive image makeover these days. In her soon to be released Kidnap, she would be seen in a bikini which certainly comes as a surprise to her admirers.

By wearing a bikini for Kidnap, Minissha now joins the gang of young women who have willingly agreed to get into the costume for a Sanjay Gadhvi film. After Esha Deol (Dhoom) and Bipasha Basu (Dhoom 2), she is the new bikini girl for Gadhvi.

Talking about her decision to join the bikini bandwagon, Minissha admits, "Yes, I have joined the bikini bandwagon. After all, not many girls are doing it even today, isn't it? In any case when you see Kidnap, you would realize that the makeover isn't for the sake of it. This was meant to be a part of the character and I was duly convinced that donning a bikini was indeed an integral part of the script."

The industry experts and cine-goers are definitely noticing this makeover. "We are not grown up in a conservative household and together, we watch a lot of Hollywood films. Something like a bikini is hardly a culture shock since as a family, we are quite modern in our outlook and very progressive. In any case, everyone today understands that at the end of the day, it is just a part that you are playing for a film. The buck stops there."- reacts Miss Lamba.

"And I am so very proud of that. When Sanjay told me that I had to go through this image change in Kidnap, I was game for it. I feel it was great to explore a new side of me.”- Minissha explains further.

Being a Firebrand doesn't mean Uttering Rubbish, says Minissha Lamba

If one thought that the pretty young Minissha Lamba was all sweet and docile then think again. That's because in her upcoming film Shaurya, the Yahaan actor gets into quite a firebrand mode.

Reveals Minissha, "The character of Kaavya Shastri which I portray in Shaurya is pretty much a firebrand. For her truth is the ultimate. As an investigative journalist, she has just started off her career and hence doesn't come with an excess baggage. One can safely presume that she is uncorrupted by politics around her."

Minissha as a firebrand comes across as quite an unlikely combination. After all, she has been having fun singing and dancing in mainstream films like Rocky - The Rebel and Anthony Kaun Hai in the past. "Well, you are forgetting Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. where I played a super-woman", jokes Minisha.

Getting serious, she adds, "In any case, being a firebrand doesn't just mean uttering rubbish or speaking loud. Even without such traits one can be tactful, straight forward, not indulge into blabbering and still make a point. I credit my director Samar Khan for making Kaavya Shastri as real as it gets. If he wanted, he could have made my character that is just proper. Instead, he has made me go through those little moments of eccentricity which makes it all the more identifiable."

What were her efforts in making her character work for the film? "Not many are aware that before entering films, I wanted to be a journalist myself. Also, in every day life, I get pretty moved when I see any wrong doings around me. It is just difficult to keep my head down and bow out of a situation like this. Some people in fact feel embarrassed when they have to pitch into someone else's problem. They feel that it may be unnecessary for them to indulge into someone else's affair and allow the person to be mistreated. But I can't be like that!"

In that case does Shaurya reflect what Minissha is in real life? "Exactly, this is why in Shaurya, 80% of my own personality comes into play. I get to enact the real me in the film which has only turned out to be an out rightly rewarding experience for me", says Minissha excitedly.
