Priyanka On A Visit To Rohingya Refugee Camps

Priyanka Chopra, who is also the global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights is in Dhaka visiting the Rohingya refugee camps.

The actress, who has worked with United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) for over a decade, promotes causes such as environment, health and education and women's rights among many others.

In November last year, Myanmar and Bangladesh signed an agreement to repatriate an estimated 700,000 Rohingya Muslims who fled a brutal Myanmar military campaign launched in August 2017.

Before visiting Dhaka, Priyanka was in London, where she attended Meghan Markle’s wedding to British Royal Prince Harry.

Actress Priyanka Chopra, who recently launched an interactive trailer of “Monsoon Shootout”, said she is happy to see filmmakers who push the envelope with something new.

"Shoot or not to shoot? You get to decide what happens next in the trailer for 'Monsoon Shootout'. What a cool idea! So glad to see filmmakers innovate and push boundaries of the filmmaking process," said Priyanka.

Priyanka to launch Trailer of ‘Monsoon Shootout’

Actress Priyanka Chopra will launch the interactive trailer of 'Monsoon Shootout' via social media.

A story woven on the concept of making life-altering choices, the film has been directed by Amit Kumar and produced by Guneet Monga.

Priyanka, who has made her mark internationally, will extend support to launch the trailer for the film.

Guneet said, “I reached out to Priyanka to express our desire to have her launch our trailer. She watched the trailer and loved the innovation of being a first-of-its-kind interactive trailer where the audience chooses the ending.”

No marriage without intimacy, says Priyanka Chopra

About love, marriage and intimacy in ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’, Priyanka said, “First of all you are talking about marriages and I don’t know any marriage without intimacy. Above that if you’re going to show love and pain it comes along with lot of other emotions. It’s never an isolated emotion with only hatred or love or anger or intimacy being there. So when it comes to enacting any scene, I am an actor and I am doing my job. I am playing the character to as much of my comfort as I could. “I was most compatible with John as I have done three films with him now. I knew him well so there was no question of getting to know each other,” she said.

When enquired about her on-screen chemistry with other co-stars, Priyanka said, “With Neil and Vivaan I got along really well because we were on board right from the beginning. Alex was in fact really fun on the sets. When he came down from Russia he was really friendly and he used to be very fun loving. Irrfan was one actor from whom I got to learn a lot. I tremendously respect him as an actor. Annu Sir, I always knew as he is my dad’s good friend.”

Apparently, Priyanka is delighted to have worked with Naseeruddin Shah as she quipped, “It was very nerve-racking initially because I have never worked with him. But as I did a workshop with Naseer sir right before the film began, it really helped me. Naseer sir is truly an institution of cinema in himself.”

Kareena replaces Priyanka in an International ad

Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor has snatched a plump offer from Priyanka Chopra to become the ambassador of a global brand. It’s reported that Bebo replaced Piggy Chops to feature in an international ad. Interestingly, Kareena, who is quite popular among the ‘international brand circuit’, has finally got the third international commercial. "Initially the brand wanted Priyanka as their ambassador. But after conducting a survey, they chose Kareena. The research showed that she is well known in the international brand circuit," said a source. "She endorses 14 brands and is way ahead of the others. The brand was also looking for iconic, aspirational and youth centric elements that are signature Kareena. She is a global face today”, the source added.

Currently Kareena is busy with her films and endorsements. The source said further, "She is busy shooting for Atul Agnihotri’s ‘Bodyguard’ with Salman Khan in Pune. A special team of technicians including make-up, hair and photographer are coming from London to shoot the ad with her. She shoots for her ads at night and the day is kept for the film’s shooting."

Priyanka bags a whopping sum by private parties

No plan for Wedding: Priyanka Chopra

She may be one of the most eligible single women in tinsel town, but getting married figures nowhere on the agenda of National Award winning actress Priyanka Chopra. The 28 year old says she is too young for it. Priyanka is in fact "amused" by recent rumours that she has given in to her parents’ incessant requests to get married. "It’s actually quite amusing how much momentum this particular rumour has gathered. But it’s completely ridiculous. Of course, like any girl I’d want to be married some day but for god’s sake I’m only in my 20s and for an actress that’s like being a teenager," said Priyanka. Nevertheless, she admits her parents want her to settle down. "My parents have been wanting me to be married since I was born and have been coaxing me since I was old enough to understand the concept. Like any normal Punjabi family," she said.

But does she see herself married in the next five years?

"I don’t plan my life, so I don’t know. It will happen whenever the right guy comes along and sweeps me off my feet, whenever destiny permits," quipped Priyanka, who was seen in her rough and tough avatar in the reality TV show, "Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 3".

Priyanka denies making intimate scenes with Annu Kapoor

With every actress in Bollywood being reserved about shooting passionate love-making scenes, Priyanka Chopra’s denial about doing intimate scenes with Annu Kapoor for her forthcoming movie ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ comes as no surprise. The actress has in the past shot passionate scenes with co-actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor. However, this time Priyanka has refused to do any love making scenes with senior actor Annu Kapoor in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’.

Reports say, Priyanka is not comfortable doing such scenes with Annu because of his “age and seniority”. Annu Kapoor plays one of her seven husbands in the movie.

However Vishal came-up with an amazing idea to shoot the scene with the two actors. As per reports, Bhardwaj shot the scene with both actors separately, syncing their expressions for the final edit.

A source said, “Vishal canned their expressions of ecstasy separately. Vishal is an ace filmmaker and the scene will be portrayed in such a way that the viewer will not realise that the two actors didn’t shoot for it together.”

Priyanka and Shahid break-up yet again

Even before they could go public with their relationship, it’s stated that troubled couple, Shahid and Priyanka, has broken up yet again. And this time their break-up is for keeps. The couple that had been dating for quite some time now has finally decided to call it off and go separate ways after giving their affair a second chance. With no hopes of reconciliation this time, the duo mutually ended the affair that had been making spicy tabloid headlines.

Said a source, “Shahid and Priyanka are fond of each other. But once they are in a relationship, things get more intense and cease to work. Both individuals have different perspectives on life and are career driven. The actors never went public about their relationship because they were always very uncertain about its status. Things always kept fluctuating and they were on and off for a long period. Only a few months ago did they patch up, only to break up though.”

Buzz has it that it all went kaput after Priyanka returned from her Khatron Ke Khiladi shoot in Brazil. “The constant fights finally ended the relationship,” adds the source.

Priyanka Chopra voted Most Kissable Star

Priyanka Chopra has beaten off competition from fellow Bollywood beauties Aishwarya Rai and Kareena Kapoor to bag the title of the most kissable star.

The 28 year old actress who became an instant pin-up with her turn in a gold bikini for ‘Dostana’ has topped the survey conducted by men’s magazine ‘Fantasy’.

"It was a close run but Priyanka Chopra’s bee-stung lips made her a perfect candidate to top this list," said the magazine about the winning candidate.

Aishwarya who is riding high with the success of Rajinikanth starrer ‘Robot’ came second while Kareena Kapoor grabbed the third spot.

Bollywood’s favourite Bengali beauty Bipasha Basu came fourth and Katrina Kaif rounded off the top five.

‘Aisha’ star Sonam Kapoor occupied the sixth spot while Mallika Sherawat got the seventh place on the list.

Priyanka's liplocks annoy Shahid

Shahid might not go on record to accept his romantic relationship with Priyanka Chopra but he is acting otherwise. The actor is behaving like a jilted lover and is reportedly peeved with his ladylove over her liplock with Ranbir Kapoor in their upcoming film ‘Anjaana Anjaani’.

So much is Shahid annoyed with Priyanka and Ranbir’s intimate scene that he has decided not to watch the film.

According to sources, Priyanka and Shahid were spotted watching ‘Dabangg’ together at a suburban multiplex. A source reveals that during the course of the film, the two were heard discussing ‘Anjaana Anjaani’.

"Shahid isn’t too happy with the liplock scene. He might not even watch the movie just to avoid watching PC puckering up to RK," adds a source.

The source further states that the kisses weren’t part of the original script but were added in much later during the US schedule.

"It was a spur-of-the-moment decision by director Siddharth Anand to incorporate the kisses to show the growing intimacy between Ranbir and Priyanka. The kisses were shot with only the cameraman, director and a lightman present. The rest of the crew was asked to leave the sets as the lead pair didn’t want to share the intimate moment with 15 people watching," adds the source.

Priyanka becomes most sought-after actress for 2011

The actress, who has won applauds for her fearless act in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ season 3, is bombarded with top notch assignments for next year. Believe it or not, but Piggy Chops has as many as nine valuable offers lined up for next year, making her the most sought-after A-list actress in the industry.

Says a source, “Actually Priyanka has been offered a lot more projects. The nine that she is considering are the short-listed ones”.

The source further added, “The number of assignments she is doing has peaked with every passing year. In 2010, they were quite a handful. But for 2011 they have exceeded all limits. In the past one year she has already said no to plum assignments ranging from Prakash Jha’s ‘Raajneeti’ to Abbas-Mustan’s ‘The Italian Job’ because she devoted more than normal time to projects like ‘What’s Your Raashee?’ and ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’.”

And doing so many films is also taking a toll on her health. Talking about her projects, Priyanka said, “Doing the seven roles in ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ was like doing seven different films. Then I rushed off for ‘Fear Factor’, which was again physically very exhausting. Ideally, I’d have liked to take time off before going into my next film. But there is no time. I leave for Berlin in two weeks after vigorously promoting ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ in Mumbai.”

“There is just that much work I can do. I am not the kind of person who does things half-heartedly. Whether it’s a fun film like Don 2 or an intense study of feminine postures in Saat Khoon Maaf, I am 100 per cent all there. So yes, I’ve to regretfully say no to a lot of films in the coming year,” adds the actress.

Now, for her upcoming film Saat Khoon Maaf, Priyanka Chopra is donning the role of a 65 year old lady. So, recently, when her parents visited her on the sets of the film, for a moment they couldn't believe that it was their daughter Priyanka Chopra who was looking like an old lady with wrinkles all over.

In her film Saat Khoon Maaf, Priyanka plays all the different stages of a woman's life from age 18 to 65 years. So, all those guys who have a soft corner for this babe, they can take heart that Priyanka's wrinkles are not real at all.

Neil plays Priyanka's youngest husband

Priyanka Chopra plays a unique role in "Saat Khoon Maaf". She has seven husbands in the movie. While Naseeruddin Shah is her oldest spouse, Neil Nitin Mukesh has just been signed to play the youngest.

Neil’s character will require heavy physical transformation. He will apparently be unrecognizable on screen.

"When I heard the script, I was zapped. This was something I had to do. I play one of Priyanka’s husbands, the youngest of the lot. The fact that I get to be in the same film as actors like Naseeruddin Shah and Mohanlalji was incentive enough”, said Neil.

Except one, all the actors playing Priyanka’s husbands, including an unknown American actor, have been finalised.

The actor starts shooting for "Saat Khoon Maaf" from April.

"I’ve a somewhat crowded date diary this year. I join Abbas-Mustan from June to December for ‘Italian Job’," said Neil who recently moved to Powai to be near Yash Raj Studios to avoid the daily traffic to and from South Mumbai.

"The traffic on that side of town is just as bad. It’s excruciating to travel even from Powai to Yash Raj Studios. On Thursday I had a day off and I invited my mom over to do up my new home the way I wanted it."

Neil, who has been a part of a joint family all his life, says he has no time to miss his family in Powai. "Because I use that old flat of ours only to sleep? alone!"

Priyanka Chopra wins Best Actress Award in 56th National Awards

The 56th National Film Awards have been announced and Priyanka Chopra has been honoured with the Best Actress Award for her role in multi award winning film ‘Fashion’. Following her closely is her ‘Fashion’ co-star Kangna Ranuat, who walked away with the Best Supporting Actress Award. As for the Best Actor Award, it has been awarded to Upendra Limaye for his stunning act in Marathi film ‘Jogwa’.

As for the Best Hindi Film, the award was bagged by Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Rock On’, while the Best Film Award went to Rahul Bose-starrer Bengali film 'Antaheen'. The Best Director award went to Tamil filmmaker Bala for his film 'Naan Kadavul'.

Abhay Deol starrer ‘Oye Lucky Lucky Oye’ seized the Popular Film Award and Neeraj Pandey’s ‘A Wednesday’ was named as the Best Debut Film of 2008. Stunning actor Arjun Rampal won the Best Supporting Actor award for his acclaimed role in ‘Rock On’.

Bollywood’s hot favourite Priyanka Chopra is not only a smart woman but an extremely patient lady who is surely a multi task master!

According to the latest Bollywood news, while shooting for an advertisement, Priyanka helped a bumbling technician in getting his act right.

According to a source, “A particular scene in the commercial required the technician to shower some thermocol balls. Unfortunately, after several retakes, he was unable to shower it the way his director wanted him to.”

“Priyanka who was patiently giving retakes, suddenly asked the boy to come to her with the thermocol balls and the equipment. Initially, he was scared, since it was the actress who was calling him. But to his surprise, she held the sheet and actually showed him the exact way to sprinkle the balls on her. She was extremely polite and explained it to him very patiently.”

Once the technician got his act right, he gave a flawless performance, all thanks to Priyanka, as the source added, “After practicing with the actress for five minutes, he managed to shower the balls in the exact way the director wanted him to. After the shot, the crew and everyone present on the sets clapped for the technician and Priyanka was complimented for showing her many skills.”
