Eva Longoria Parker raises $568,440 in Twitter auction

Actress Eva Longoria Parker has raised $568,440 in a celebrity Twitter auction for disabled children in Haiti.

Parker spearheaded the auction on the social networking site. The 35 year old offered to follow fans on Twitter and arrange one-of-a-kind meetings for the winning bidders who donated money throughout last week.

The funds raised from the auction event will go to ‘a home in haiti’ and will be used to rebuild The Miriam Center, which cares for children suffering from autism and cerebral palsy.

Eva Longoria Parker, the star of Desperate Housewives has been voted the Sexiest Woman on US TV in a new magazine poll.

Parker said that she can’t believe TV Guide’s bosses picked her - because her character in Desperate Housewives has been all frumpy in episodes dating back to last year.

The actress’ husband, French sports star Tony Parker agrees with the magazine’s pick: "My husband thinks I’m at my sexiest the first thing in the morning. He says looking over at me as I’m waking up is his favourite thing."
