Salman Khan and Govinda blow over Sonakshi Sinha

Once touted as best friends, Salman and Govinda can’t see eye to eye any longer. The two actors have reportedly fallen apart and it’s all owing to Salman’s latest fixation with Sonakshi Sinha. Buzz has it that Govinda, who was counting on Salman to pave way for his daughter Narmada’s debut in Bollywood, is increasingly peeved with the actor as he has snubbed Narmada to give Sonakshi a larger than life start in Bollywood.

According to a source, “Narmada is as beautiful and talented as Sonakshi. Last year, Salman was very much involved with grooming Narmada. However, after he started shooting for ‘Dabangg’, he has eyes and ears for Sonakshi and not Narmada.”

And Govinda, though feels cheated, has refrained from voicing his feeling as he feels indebted to Salman for helping him get ‘Partner’ in 2007.

But a lot has changed between the two pals now, as under ideal circumstances, Narmada should have signed a movie or two by now.

“There was a time when Govinda used to frequently visit Salman’s house, Galaxy Apartments at Bandstand. Not anymore. After working on ‘Partner’, both actors were almost inseparable and loved being with each other, be it at home or even in autorikshaws, out for a spin in the middle of the night,” added the source.

Paris Hilton enjoying a new romance

The latest buzz about the celebrities say that US socialite Paris Hilton is enjoying a new romance with Las Vegas nightclub owner Cy Waits and the pair are said to be smitten with each other.

Hilton, who has previously dated Benji Madden, Rick Salomon, and model Jason Shaw, recently revealed she doesn’t want a famous boyfriend and is on the look out for a more low-key romance.

"It’s really hard in my position just being in a relationship, because so much goes along with it. The media are constantly making up stories and it’s just hard to know if you can trust a guy who has fame," Hilton said.

"I’d rather be with someone who’s not in the public eye - I think it just makes it easier, and I don’t know there’s so much that comes along with it. I’d rather be with someone who’s not in this world," she added.

Madonna to launch her lingerie range

Pop star Madonna will put her creativity to use by designing a lingerie range for high street retailer BHS.

She has decided to design the range following the success of her fashion collaboration with daughter Lordes.

Belgian model Jess Donckers will be the face for Madonna’s lingerie range and the news has accidentally slipped out of her mouth.

"The lingerie is sensual but wearable. It is useful for everybody," said the former Playboy girl.

Before teaming up with her daughter, Madonna had launched her fashion line in collaboration with Swedish clothing company Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M) in 2007.

Sreeram Chandra wins Indian Idol 5

Sreeram Chandra has won the fifth season of the music reality show Indian Idol.

He was announced the winner by megastar Amitabh Bachchan. The 24-year-old singer beat Rakesh Maini from Agra and Bhoomi Trivedi of Baroda to win 50 lakh in prize money, a one year contract with Sony BMG, a Tata Winger car, and a chance to sing a song in a Yash Raj Films' project.

Sreeram has already recorded a duet with singer Shreya Ghosal for a telugu film.
After the announcement of the winner, Sreeram said, "It hasn't even begun to sink in that I have really won. My parents are here with me. It seems like I'm in a dream. This victory means the world to me”.

"I feel lucky that I have received my identity on a day when my country celebrates its Independence. For the rest of my life I will celebrate this day as my victory day. Getting the trophy from Mr Bachachan is again a dream come true. I couldn't have asked for anything better than this," he adds.

Sreeram now hopes to establish a foothold in both Bollywood and Telugu Industry. "I have already sung in Telugu and I hope to make a career in both Hindi and Telugu films. Actually, I don't know what I will do. I am still trying to absorb the news at this moment."

He wants to become is a versatile singer. He said, "I want to be known as a versatile singer. Being versatile means I should be able to sing for any actor."

Talking about his Indian Idol journey he says, "This platform has helped me grow as a human being and as a singer. I feel like a different person now. I feel far more confident than I did when I first entered the show."

About his singing idols, he says, “My childhood idols are Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar. From the current lot, I look up to Shankar Madhavan and of course A R Rahman, who has taken Indian music to an international level”.

When asked how is he going to celebrate his victory?

"Actually I want to celebrate my victory with everyone who has supported me in this journey. Right now I am going to party with my parents, my 13 co-contestants, the judges and the whole team."

And when asked what he plans to do with the prize money, Sreeram says he hasn't thought that far yet.

Finally, when asked to say a few words to the two finalists Bhoomi Trivedi and Rakesh Maini, he says, "We have become like one big family. It didn't really matter who won and who lost."

Justin Bieber is looking for a girlfriend and says his perfect woman would be a Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry cross.

But since they are both too old for him, Biebster wants to take both Cole and Perry out for dinner so he can tap them up for some dating advice.

"Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry are two of the hottest girls in the world - and so normal and funny with it”, said Bieber.

"If I was a few years older they are the kind of girls I’d like to date. I want a younger version of Cheryl and Katy - a mixture of the two would be hot.

"Maybe they could coach me and tell me how to work out which ones are the good ones. That would be pretty awesome.

Sonam Kapoor to drink Cola for Rs 3 crore

Sonam Kapoor seems to be flying high these days. The stunner, who has garnered much applause for her stylish act in her latest outing ‘Aisha’, has become a favourite of top brands.

Already endorsing top skin care products, Sonam has now been approached to endorse a soft drink. And if sources are to be believed, then the stunner will be bagging an astounding sum of Rs 3 crore to feature in a cola commercial.

Even though Sonam has accepted the offer, she hasn’t signed on the dotted line. However, although the name of the brand has not been confirmed officially, grapevine has it that it’s none other than soft-drink giant Coca-Cola, that’s got Sonam on board. Before Sonam, the brand had signed stars like Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan, at a time when both were relatively new in the industry.

As of now, it’s Imran Khan and Kalki Koechlin, who endorse the brand. However, we are sure Sonam will make a place for herself.

Academy Award winning actress Halle Berry has been named the yummiest mummy ever in a new poll.

The 44 year old who has a 2 year old daughter Nahla Ariel with ex-boyfriend, model Gabriel Aubry, topped the poll.

"It’s worth noting that 7 out of these 10 fine ladies on this list are 35 and over, and three of them are over age 40, including our No. 1, Halle Berry, who turns 44 on August 14th.

Shah Rukh Khan in wax at Times Square

Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan will join the wax figures of the famous at the famed Madame Tussauds at Times Square amid a performance by Bollywood dancers.

The colourfully dressed troupe of dancers will perform to the soundtrack from Shah Rukh starrer ‘My Name Is Khan’, one of the highest-grossing Bollywood titles released in the US as Khan’s figure is unveiled with the DVD release of the film.

Standing in front of a replica of the Taj Mahal, the star’s wax figure will be dressed in a sleek black suit and white button down shirt.

The actor known as ‘King Khan’ is the latest addition to Madame Tussauds brightly-colored, fully-interactive ‘Bollywood Zone’, which allows guests to feel as though they are on a Bollywood film set.

The celebrated Bollywood actor, producer and television host, Khan has starred in more than 50 films throughout his career. The star was also named one of Newsweek’s “50 Most Powerful People in the World” in 2008 and has a fan following numbering in the billions.

Now available from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, the DVD is timed for India’s Independence Day and showcases the changing face of Bollywood, the enamouring on-screen partnership of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, behind-the-scenes featurettes about the story, music from the film and more.

Described by US media as "A potent, energetic heart-tugger" (Los Angeles Times) and "an affecting fairy tale about the perils of goodness" (New York Times), the film relates the story of an Indian man with a unique way of looking at the world.

Naomi Campbell gave "blood diamonds" to Mandela's charity

Supermodel Naomi Campbell, while testifying at the war crimes trial of former Liberian President Charles Taylor, said that that she gave alleged ‘blood diamonds’ to the head of Nelson Mandela’s children’s charity.

The catwalk queen was quizzed about claims made by actress Mia Farrow that Taylor gave the model an uncut diamond following a dinner party hosted by Nelson Mandela in South Africa in 1997.

Giving evidence at The Hague, Campbell admitted that she was given a few ‘dirty-looking pebbles’.

The model then claimed that she had given the uncut diamonds to Jeremy Ractliffe, the director of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, the following day intending that he use them to help fund the charity’s projects.

A spokesman for the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, set up by the former South African president in 1995, said that Campbell’s evidence was "of great concern".

"We don’t have any record of the diamonds. Mr Ractliffe is among our trustees so he would have indicated if such a thing existed. We have it on record, we have made a statement to say there’s no such record of diamonds," said a source.

Ractliffe refused to comment on Campbell’s claims, saying "The matter is sub judice so I am not saying anything."

Asked about the fund’s statement that it never received the diamonds or money from their sale, he replied: "The fund is correct."

Campbell arrived at the courthouse in The Hague surrounded by police escorts.

Taylor, 62, is accused of trading in ‘blood diamonds’ to fund a brutal and bloody war carried out by rebels in Liberia’s neighbouring Sierra Leone.
