‘Twilight’ actress Nikki Reed reportedly wed fiance Paul McDonald in a diamond studded wedding gown. The 23-year-old’s ivory white, body-hugging dress wedding dress had a hundred diamond buttons. The couple tied the knot at a private ranch in Malibu, Calif. "We couldn’t be happier. We were surrounded by our family and friends. We’re so glad this day has come," Reed said. The actress had collaborated with bridal jewelry brand Tacori, which crafted not only the engagement and wedding bands for the couple, but her wedding gown as well. "It was a 40’s classic glamour silhouette. It flows back into a 72-inch train, about six feet. It’s extremely simple.

Instead of a traditional, silk wrap button, we did diamond buttons. A little over 100 carats just on the buttons," said Michelle Adorjan, designer at Tacori. The couple got married after dating for only two months.

Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Gowns to be sold

Fashion designer Vera Wang is recreating lower-priced versions of the wedding gowns she had designed for Kim Kardashian. According to E! News, the high-end bridal designer turned mass-market lifestyle entrepreneur is recreating two of the three gowns Kardashian wore to wed basketball player Kris Humphries, for David’s Bridal. Kardashian fans can buy a facsimile of the Vera Wang ballgown she wore for her walk down the aisle as well as a ruffled mermaid gown worn at the reception. Since Wang designed the “one-of-a-kind” gown for the wedding, these 1,600-dollar frocks will reportedly not be exact copies.

The gowns and a line of bridesmaids’ dresses are all part of Wang’s latest efforts to take her brand of wedding magic to the masses. The White by Vera Wang line is available at David’s Bridal and features lower priced wedding gowns and bridesmaids’ dresses. The gowns will hit the racks at David’s Bridal in February.

Vera Wang to create Kim Kardashian’s wedding dress

Fashion designer Vera Wang will create the wedding gown of reality TV star Kim Kardashian. Kardashian, who is set to wed New Jersey Nets basketball player Kris Humphries Aug 11, has revealed that her close family friend Vera (62), was her first choice to create the "dream" gown. "I am so excited to reveal that Vera Wang is my wedding dress designer. Vera has been a close family friend for a long time and we had talked about this moment for years, so when it came to picking my wedding dress designer she was the first person I thought of. No one designs gowns the way she does!" the 30-year-old expressed on her blog. "I know that Vera can make my dream come true and create the most perfect gown for my special day."

Vera Ellen Wang is a Chinese-American fashion designer based in New York City. She is known for her wedding gown collection and has previously designed Kim’s sister Khloe’s wedding outfit.

Replica of Kate Middleton’s Wedding Dress to hit stores

A replica of Duchess of Cambridge Catherine Middleton’s wedding dress, created by designers Michelle and Henry Roth, is set to hit the stores. Catherine’s dress was kept safely under wraps until the royal wedding. Sources reveal that Roth’s had began making detailed sketches for a replica just after the wedding ceremony concluded. The designers sell their creations exclusively to Kleinfeld Bridal Salon, the largest wedding boutique in the US. CBS News reports, "Kate’s dress is a serious game-changer and the Roth’s are determined to have the perfect couture gown, inspired by Middleton’s, available immediately". The designers have been busy working on every detail of their "Kate Dress" and have examined every detail of the original. They reportedly visited New York’s Garment District to find the perfect fabric and soon had women waiting breathlessly for their chance to try on the creation.

Britain’s Daily Mirror says, New York fashion house Faviana is also attempting to cash in on the interest in Middleton’s dress, introducing a gown named "Princess Kate". The dress, made of satin with chiffon French lace, is now ready for production and is available in two shades.

Kate Middleton to wear a modest wedding dress

Bruce Oldfield has predicted that royal bride-to-be Kate Middleton will wear a modest dress on her wedding day. On the US breakfast show Good Morning America, Oldfield, who is believed to have won the coveted commission to create Middleton’s bridal gown, said Prince William’s fiancée’s outfit will have sleeves but will still provoke a strong reaction from the watching world. In keeping with the tradition of past royal weddings, most famously Diana, Princess of Wales’s wedding. She will also wear a veil. But for the evening dinner and dance, hosted by her future father-in-law the Prince of Wales, Middleton will change into another dress, he said. When asked if there would be two dresses on the wedding day, Oldfield replied ‘yes’ but remained tight-lipped about his sources and whether he had been commissioned to create the wedding gown. He predicted that the marriage outfit, despite being demure, would still cause a strong reaction when William’s fiancée arrives at Westminster Abbey for the ceremony on April 29th.

“I’m sure the dress is going to be modest in terms of coverage - it has to be. It will have sleeves, it has to have sleeves.

“You can’t walk down Westminster Abbey in a strapless dress. It just wouldn’t happen. It has to suit the grandeur of that aisle, it’s enormous. I can predict she will wear a veil,” he added.

Kate Middleton picks Bruce Oldfield to design her wedding dress

Kate Middleton is set to marry Prince William next year and she has reportedly chosen British designer Bruce Oldfield to create her wedding gown. There had been speculation that the 28 year old future queen, who will tie the knot on April 29, would choose her favourite label Issa to design the gown. But designer Ben de Lisi says Bruce has been handed the task. "There are lots of rumours but I’ve heard it is Bruce Oldfield," said Ben. "I’m absolutely certain I won’t get chosen. I’m sure I’m not in the running." American-born Ben, whose gowns have been worn by Kate Winslet, Helena Bonham Carter and Angelica Huston, feels sorry for Kate because the whole world will be waiting to judge her wedding outfit.

"Kate has to do what’s right for Kate. It’s never going to be easy for her because the whole world is looking at her," said Ben.
