Rachel Weisz: new face of Bulgari perfume

Actress Rachel Weisz is all set to be the new face of Bulgari’s Jasmin Noir fragrance. The British beauty - who married James Bond star Daniel Craig last week - will represent the brand for a new campaign shot by Mert Atlas and Marcus Piggott, starting in August. Weisz has previously admitted she has little knowledge about how to make herself look good. "I’m a bit of a wash-and-go kind of girl. I don’t know how to blow-dry my hair, so I never do. I have naturally big, frizzy hair, so I normally have at least two or three hair bands on my wrist."

"I don’t mind not having the blow-dried look - I like a little frizz - and its back in fashion, thanks God," she added.

British actress Rachel Weisz has revealed she has no idea how to blow-dry her hair and only gets manicures and pedicures if she is attending a red-carpet event. The brunette beauty admits she makes a minimal effort with her locks, and insists she doesn’t care if her tresses look less-than-perfect when she leaves the house. She may be a star but Oscar-winning actress Rachel Weisz likes to live an ordinary life with her three year old son Henry and director fiancee Darren Aronofsky.

The ‘Constant Gardener’ star likes to play the role of an extra-ordinary woman onscreen, but has a normal life.

"Of course, it’s not ordinary to get dressed in frocks to walk down red carpets and travel all over the world and stay in five-star hotels. I’m not working in a factory. But I drop Henry off at school and pick him up. I try my hardest to keep everyone together," Weisz said.

However, the 40 year old actress is still in love with acting as she believes there is always a new project for her to get involved in.

"That’s the great thing about acting. I can never imagine being satiated. It’s just like some math problem to figure out. I’m just getting started," Weisz said.

Rachel Weisz wins top actress gong

Oscar-winning actress Rachel Weisz scooped a top prize at Britain’s Laurence Olivier theatre awards for her role in the classic play ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’.

Weisz was named best actress for playing fading southern beauty Blanche DuBois in the Tennessee Williams work.

"It means an awful lot. I never thought I would be holding one of these in my lifetime," said Weisz as she accepted the prize.

"Most of all this is for Blanche DuBois, I love her, Tennessee Williams, and all the other messed-up genius poets out there," added the actress, who won an Oscar for best supporting actress in 2006 for ‘The Constant Gardener’.

The surprise winner of the night was 28 year old, US playwright Katori Hall, whose work ‘The Mountaintop’ won the best new play award, beating off stiff competition from popular shows ‘Enron’ and ‘Jerusalem’.

Her play follows Martin Luther King the night before his assassination. She is the first black female playwright to win the award.

"I want to thank the London audience for teaching me that this was a story that needed to be heard around the world," she said.

Mark Rylance was named best actor for his role as anti-hero Johnny ‘Rooster’ Byron in ‘Jerusalem’, the second time he has won the award.

And Maggie Smith was recognized for her outstanding contribution to the theatre.

Her cinematic career has included two Oscars, including best actress in 1970 for the ‘The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie’. More recently, she has played Professor McGonagall in the Harry Potter films.
