Ekta Chaudhary -The young and confident beauty won the
Miss India Universe Crown. This twenty-two year old beauty from Delhi has it all. She has the looks to die for and the brains to proud of. Very witty with her sharp and confident looks she truly deserves the title. She possesses the perfect statistics. She is 5'9.5" tall and weighs just 55.5kg. Her hourglass figure can be explained by the stats that read 32-24-36.

The Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2009 contest was truly a glamorous event and it was made more sensuous by the Bollywood sensations - Priyanka Chopra, Genelia D’Souza and Kangana Ranaut who performed on stage. The show was choreographed by none other than the versatile Shaimak Dawar.
And if there was any thing missing one could have a look at the judging panel who were not less glamorous. The panel comprised of Bollywood personalities- Madhoor Bhandarkar, Ajay Devgan, Sushmita Sen, Asin, Deepika Padukone, Fashion Designer- Nandita Mahtani, IGM Managing Director Ravi Krishnan, Fashion Magazine editor- Mickey Bourdman, and Lakme Advisor- Anil Chopra.
The twenty contestants from across the country who made it to the quarter-final round were Tulip Bhattacharya, Sonakshi Sajnani, Shriya Kishore, Ragini Dwivedi, Pooja Hegde, Nishtha Khadiwala, Niharika Nag, Nandini Vaid, Karishma Karnik, Ishita Sarkar, Harshita Saxena, Hanika Paryani, Faith Pandey, Ekta Chowdhry, Dimple Patel, Deeksha Seth, Aparajita Sharma, Akanksha Yadav and Aarohi Kadam.
Among these the top ten who made it to the semi final round were Deeksha, Shreya Kishore, Ekta Chaudhary, Ragini, Faith, Pooja Chopra, Harshita Saxena, Niharika, Ishita and Nandini.

Kanishtha Dhankhar (22) from Mumbai won the Pantaloons Miss India World 2011 title at a glittering function in Mumbai Thursday night. She had earlier won the Pantaloons Femina Miss Body Beautiful. Hasleen Kaur from New Delhi won the Pantaloons Femina Miss India Earth 2011, while Ankita Shorey from Mumbai won the Pantaloons Femina Miss India International 2011. Miss India 2010 winners Manasvi Mamgai, Nicole Faria and Neha Hinge crowned the 2011 winners. Kanishtha Dhankhar is a model by profession. She will represent India at the global pageant later this year. Her favourite actor is Leonardo DiCaprio and she rates Sachin Tendulkar as her most favourite sportsperson. Ankita Mohapatra from Bhubaneswar won the Bollywood Diva Title. She will act in a forthcoming film under Nadiadwala Grandsons Entertainment banner. Rakul Preet Singh, who was one of the top 5 finalists, won the Miss India Online Poll 2011. She was the first choice of the online audience. The judges of the show included Kangna Ranaut, Fardeen Khan, Urmila Matondkar, Ritu Kumar, Shiamak Davar, Leander Paes, Tarun Mansukhani, Sajid Nadiadwala and Prachi Desai. Tarun Mansukhani, was the first to break the news, when he tweeted, "Judges unanimous winner of the miss india crown is.... Kanishtha Dhankar!!" 
The event saw scintillating performances by Anushka Sharma, Malaika Arora Khan, Hard Kaur and Sonakshi Sinha, music band SQS and television actors Gaurav Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, Harshad Chopra and Gaurav Chopra. Last year, Sushmita Sen’s production company Tantra Entertainment had been awarded the India franchise to select participant for the Miss Universe contest and the winner - Ushoshi Sengupta had represented India at the international pageant. Other than the crowning of Miss India, Nadiadwala also announced Ankita Mohapatra as the winner of the Bollywood Diva title, who will be cast in a forthcoming film under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner.
