Heidi Klum to launch new jewellery collection
Supermodel Heidi Klum is planning to launch a costume jewellery collection in September after her sterling silver range of jewellery was discontinued two years ago.

The 38-year-old German beauty has teamed up with a home shopping network to launch ‘Wildlife by Heidi Klum’ which will include 35 styles including cocktail rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets worth between USD 30 million and USD 200 million.

Klum has received much of her inspiration for her collection from trips to flea markets.

"All of the pieces are statement pieces. The only reason to wear costume jewellery is to wear something large - something you can’t do with real jewellery because it would be too expensive," she said.

Her previously developed sterling silver jewellery collection with the channel which was discontinued in 2009 after Van Cleef & Arpels launched a lawsuit claiming the designs infringed on its signature Alhambra Collection clover motif.

"We fought with Van Cleef & Arpels for over a year and a half, but we were small fry next to a company like that. But looking back, I’m quite happy to be doing something new. I feel free now with this. I can reach more people with costume jewellery, the prices are great and I can make big pieces. It’s way more fun," said Klum.

Klum has teamed up with Coty to create the fragrance, which will come out in September." There are different moods that as a fragrance creator you can travel to. For my first one, I wanted what I felt my staple would be. I wanted it to be sensual and feminine, but still luxurious and expensive-smelling because I think there are so many perfumes out there that smell cheap and too sweet," said Klum. Klum will appear in the commercials for Shine and it is priced at $17 for 15ml, $28 for 30ml and $35 for a 50ml bottle.

Her income this year was $45 million, an increase by a whopping $20 million. Sources reveal that proof of Bundchen’s star-status enhancing brands is easy to find, as after she became the face of hair care brand Pantene in March 2010, the company’s sales went up by 40 percent in Latin America. In second place was German model Heidi Klum, who earned $20 million through her recent partnership with Amazon.com and launching her own clothing line with sportswear brand New Balance. The third place went to British model Kate Moss, who made $13.5 million from deals, including her own bag collection with brand Longchamp, and a campaign for Christian Dior.

Klum, who raises four children with husband Seal, has teamed up with website Aol.com to create original web content. The online venture is set to be launched later this year. "During my 15 years in the business, I’ve received so many questions on a variety of topics from my favourite toothbrush to juggling family and a busy work schedule. I’m bringing in the experts that have helped me over the years to help inspire you," said Klum in a statement.

"Women are looking for content that speaks to every part of their lives. Right now, advice seems so scattered online. I have created a place on AOL that’s really one-stop-shopping for women as moms, wives, workers, friends and their most creative selves," she added.
