Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif together again in Subhash Ghai's next

Subhash Ghai and Salman Khan seem to have bonded really well during the making of Yuvraaj. No wonder that that the veteran director is planning to cast Salman in yet another film after Yuvraaj. What's more! Once again his lady love Katrina Kaif will be accompanying him in this full-on entertainer.

"Yes, Salman and I have spoken about doing one more film together after Yuvraaj. It is a complete entertainer that talks about today's youth. We will start the film only towards the end of next year (2009) since Salman's dates also need to be available and even I need time to work on the script. As for Katrina, she has been signed by Mukta Arts for 3 films, so she will also be a part of this project in all probability."-confirms Subhash Ghai.

Only recently, we had informed you of Ghai's plans to start a film with Dilip Kumar in a pivotal role. So is this the same film? "No no…the film I am planning with Dilip Saab is different film altogether. It's a light hearted entertainer which will appeal even to the youngsters. Dilipji would be playing a pivotal role of an 85 year old man in the film. This film (starring Dilip Kumar) will start first after I am done with Yuvraaj and I plan to wrap it in around 4 months," signed off the Showman.

Subhash Ghai’s Yuvraaj delayed again
Subhash Ghai's Yuvraaj shoot was apparently cancelled for the umpteenth time. The reason this time as well, was Salman Khan. The actor was to shoot for Ghai in Panvel yesterday when he called to cancel the shoot.

Salman's girlfriend, Katrina Kaif, who stars in the film, got so irritated that she told the production guys that next time she would not be able to adjust her dates. She then took off to Ajmer with Salman's sister Alvira. Katrina later said that she went to the dargah to pray in the morning and came back in the evening. But she refused to reveal whether she had gone to pray for the success of her film Race, saying it was very personal and between her and God. Talking about the cancellation of the Yuvraaj shoot, she said that it had got delayed and not cancelled. She also said that it was happening just the second time and not the seventh as is being written. Salman had to complete the shoot of Boney Kapoor's film. She also laughed off rumours that she had refused to adjust her dates next time. Director Subhash Ghai took pains to stress that the shoot had been delayed and not cancelled. He said that it had been postponed by three days from March 16 to 19 as Boney's Pokhiri shoot got extended and he requested Ghai to allow him to shoot with Salman for a few more days. Ghai also said that Yuvraaj was about 75 per cent complete. Three songs and the climax need to be canned according to the director.

Mithun Chakraborty joins Subhash Ghai's Yuvraaj
One of 2008's most anticipated films is Subhash Ghai's Yuvraaj starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Zayed Khan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. The film which is a musical has added 2 more members to its already impressive star-cast.

The buzz is that Mithun Chakraborty apparently has been signed on to play a special appearance in the film. Says Subhash Ghai, "Yes Mithun is doing a special appearance in Yuvraaj. However it is a very important role in the context of the film. We have shot with him already for around 5 - 6 days."

Besides this Aushima Sawhney who was last seen opposite Kunal Khemu in Superstar has also been signed. Ghai adds, "Aushima is playing one of the female leads in Yuvraaj"

With some people referring to the film as Main Yuvraaj while others calling it Yuvraaj we decided to get the facts straight from the man himself. "I keep telling everyone it is Yuvraaj. The title is positively Yuvraaj and not Main Yuvraaj"

Lastly we can't wait to check out this star-studded extravaganza and hence ask the showman, how much of the shooting is actually left? "50 % of the shooting is left, and we are releasing the film on October 24, 2008, the same day when Mukta Arts celebrates it 30th anniversary," signs off Ghai.

In the meanwhile, all you Ghai fans can surely check out his next release Black and White starring Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, and debutant Anurag Sinha that opens across cinemas next week (March 7).

Subhash Ghai's YUVRAAJ to be released in October
Subhash Ghai launched KARZ and also founded Mukta Arts on 24th October, 1978. Thirty years later, on 24th October this year, the Showman will showcase his new film YUVRAAJ to the global audience. “Yes, I've decided to release YUVRAAJ on this date. It's my most ambitious venture so far,” Ghai beams proudly.

Before YUVRAAJ, Ghai is bringing in a “comparative smaller project” -- BLACK & WHITE. The promos of the film have created tremendous buzz already. “It's completely different from what I've attempted so far. Generally, people look forward to larger than life characters, great music, opulent sets and non-stop entertainment from Scene A to Z in a Subhash Ghai film. BLACK & WHITE is unlike what Mukta Arts has churned out so far,” he states.

Meanwhile, Ghai has decided to move on to yet another biggie, the day YUVRAAJ releases. Reportedly, he has signed his favorite, veteran Dilip Kumar, to head the cast of the film. Also roped in are Vinod Khanna, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone for pivotal roles. “I haven't signed anyone yet. In fact, I haven't locked any script so far,” he corrects.

So how did the news originate? There has to be some truth to it. “While discussing story ideas with your team of writers, you tend to discuss names that would suit the roles if you were to make that film. These internal discussions keep happening from time to time, but the moment the media gets a whiff of it, it's out in the open, even though nothing is approved. The sad part is, no one bothers to clarify before doing these news-breaks. Frankly, I am in the midst of BLACK & WHITE and YUVRAAJ currently and it leaves me with very little time of think of anything else,” he clarifies.
