Camilla Luddington (27), has shot scenes for a boat race, near St. Andrews University, where the royal bride-to-be, Kate, met Prince William. The boat scenes are based on events that happened in 2007 when Kate rowed with an all-girl dragon boat crew called The Sisterhood. In the US film that would air on American TV in April, Kate and her team race a male crew. But in reality, Kate pulled out of the English Channel event for security reasons.

Prince William planning bachelor party on a boat

Prince William is set to enjoy a low-key bachelors party that will include a day of water sports on the south coast of England. "The water sports weekend is a perfect option. They can let their hair down without worrying about who is around," said a source. The report says, Prince Harry (26), has planned the day with a barbeque and a trip up a nearby estuary to visit a number of pubs and restaurants only accessible by boat. He has reportedly chosen a firm based on the south coast of Britain, with the whole event not expected to exceed 2,500 pounds.

Kate-William planning Honeymoon in Scilly Isles

The royal couple, Prince William and his fiancee Kate Middleton, are considering a budget honeymoon in the Scilly Isles, the same place where Prince Charles took Diana in 1989. The couple has reportedly drawn up a shortlist of British honeymoon destinations - because Palace officials don’t want them going on an expensive foreign break while Britons see their living standards squeezed. William last went on holiday to the Scilly Isles - off the coast from Penzance - on a family holiday with his mother Diana, brother Harry and Prince Charles in 1989 when he was just seven.

“William and Kate are acutely aware that in these difficult times being seen to take a luxury honeymoon would not look good and send out entirely the wrong signal,” said an aide.

“Neither has lavish tastes and a domestic location is ideal to ensure they are secure,” aide added.

It has been revealed that London’s Westminster Abbey has shocking security lapses that could leave William, Kate, the Queen, Prime Minister David Cameron and a host of royals and VIPs exposed to a terror bomb outrage. The security shambles at the venue that will host the most important public event of 2011 on April 29 in front of a worldwide audience of millions, it has emerged. In an undercover operation, an investigator, posing as a tourist, managed to leave an unaccompanied backpack ‘bomb’ at several sites among the Abbey’s cloisters and corridors for up to 45 minutes unchallenged. The bogus bomb was just metres from where the Royal couple would exchange their vows in front of the High Altar. The investigators have found that there were scant checks at the church’s entrance carried out by staff using a wooden stick to poke around bags and the absence of any airport-style scanning equipment.

Even the CCTV coverage inside the building is inadequate as there are uncovered areas where terrorists could hide explosives with little chance of being spotted.

Said a security source, “The fact the place is so open makes it an ideal target for terrorists looking to stage an attack. That means security staff, especially leading up to the royal wedding, will really need to be on their guard to prevent an attack."

“In the lead-up to the big day a lot more thought is going to have to be given to the backgrounds of those who work in the church and exactly who is being allowed in. The royal wedding is a massive event that is going to be watched by millions of people around the globe,” said the source.

Kate-William wedding memorabilia goes on sale

Four months before the couple are to tie the knot, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding memorabilia has gone on sale - but without their faces on it. According to a report by ‘The Sun’, “The plate, tankard and pill box are decorated with an entwined "C" and "W" plus doves, white ribbons and hearts in silver, gold and grey. The design, which also carries the Prince’s coronet and the wedding date, is the only one which has been approved by the lovebirds.” "Collectors aren’t interested in anything with no portrait. It’s not about quality and beauty, anyone in their right mind would prefer something with Kate and Wills on. "I’m sure they’ll shift enough of them but in a couple of years these plates and mugs will be sold on ‘eBay’ for a fraction of the price. People will end up not caring about them because they look pretty dull," quoted a memorabilia specialist. Buckingham Palace has allowed only a few items to carry the couple’s picture, including biscuit tins and jars - but only sanctioned engagement snaps by Mario Testino. There is also a 2011 calendar.

St James’s Palace said Wills and Kate, both 28, would be "more than content" if they are sold - even with their pictures. Nuala McGourty, director of retail for the Royal Collection, said: "We are proud to continue to champion products made in England."
