The ‘Legally Blonde’ star is dressed in a black leotard on the may cover of Elle magazine. The 35-year-old actress who walked down the aisle for a second time with agent Jim Toth in a traditional ceremony last week, is the daring covergirl of the fashion magazine. On a special cover of Elle UK for the magazine's May issue, featuring adorable and candid Reese Witherspoon who flaunts a smoking hot look. Photographed by Ben Hassett and styled by Heathermary Jackson at Chateau Marmont, Reese wears Emporio Armani, Hermes leather cuffs, and make-up by Avon. Inside the magazine, in an editorial called "Reese Is The Word", the beautiful actress, who married Hollywood agent Jim Toth at a ceremony in California last month, says that she was completely thrilled when Jim proposed to her. The mother-of-two who is seen reclining on a duvet on the cover of the magazine which refers to her as ‘Miss Witherspoon’. The "Water for Elephants" star believes she was too young when she married her first husband Ryan Phillippe. The two met at Witherspoon's 21st-birthday party. Then, two years later he proposed and they married in June 1999. They have daughter Ava, 11, and seven-year-old son Deacon together. They got divorced in 2007, after they both admitted openly that they have to work on their marriage. Reese Witherspoon began dating 40-year-old Jim Toth in January 2010. In the cover story for Elle UK, the actress admits she feels "lucky" and "happy" to have found Jim.

Aishwarya Rai to sue Elle magazine

Aishwarya Rai is in a foul mood and it’s all owing to her recent Elle magazine photo-shoot that spurred quite a racial row. The actress, who appears to be a few tones fairer than her original skin tone, is peeved with the publication for making her look several shades lighter. The actress, who is always politically correct and rarely indulges in any show of emotion, has been fuming ever since the cover hit stands. Said a source, “Aishwarya’s first reaction was disbelief. She believed that these things don’t happen anymore. Not in this day and age when women are recognized for their merit, and not for the colour of their skin. She is currently verifying this skin-whitening allegation. If there is any proof of this, she might even take action.” As per reports, the doctored image was brought to Ash’s attention by her fans, who flew into a rage after they saw that their icon was made to look ghastly white on the cover.

However, this isn’t the first time that the magazine has preached Caucasian standards of beauty. It might be recalled that in September this year, the US edition of the same magazine had featured on its cover an African-American actress, Gabourey Sidibe, with a much paler complexion.

A friend said, “No one in any part of the world looks at Ash with culture-specific eyes. Though she has represented India on many international forums she is regarded as a world citizen. She is clearly the global face of the contemporary Indian woman. The last thing she’d want is to have a global image coloured by a racial suggestion.”
