Genelia D’Souza riding high with success

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na is becoming the biggest hit of the year and consequently Genelia D’Souza is riding high on the wave of success.

Genelia D’ Souza reveals that she landed the role after auditioning for it one year back. She had decided to take a break after five long years in South Indian cinema when she got a phone call from Aamir Khan productions offering her the Jaane tu Ya Jaane Na role.

After that everything was a blast. Genelia D’ Souza completely enjoyed working with Aamir Khan and the crew of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. "Working with both Aamir and Imran has been a big party. Aamir gives you confidence. He instills belief and courage in you. With his believing in me I started to believe in myself. Then again the team that he has put together is fantastic. Working with the entire team with of ‘Jaane Tu…’ has been extremely enjoyable", she says.

Genelia D’ Souza also shares a good rapport with co star Imran Khan.’ As for Imran, strangely from the day we met we hit it off. We even did our screen test together. I felt very comfortable working with him. We became real good friends just like we have been shown in the film.,” she says.

She reveals that she completely identifies with the character of Aditi, the main protagonist of the film. She quips,” I identify a lot with Aditi. In fact I am very much like her in real life. I am a complete loyalist for my friends and have always stood up for them.” Genelia D’ Souza also insists that she has no time for romance in real life and is concentrating on her career.

Meanwhile her career in South Indian movies is also getting a boost. Producer Shankar is dubbing her Kannada film Satya in Love into Telugu and plans to release it very soon.
