The 29 year old actor who had recently introduced the ‘Love Story’ hitmaker to his family, spent a lot of time researching so that he could get the right gift for Swift. He gifted Swift a vintage Gretsch guitar signed by country star Chet Atkins. His name is virtually synonymous with Gretsch guitars, the hollow-body electric guitars that have formed the sound of country music for decades.Gyllenhal got the hint about the special instrument when Taylor reportedly gushed about Gretsch during a recent trip to Nashville.
