Bollywood actress Kajol was recently commemorated with a popular award, until now which had been the pride of Aamir Khan in the said category.Kajol was felicitated with the Master Deenanath Vishesh Puraskar by the singing legend Lata Mangeshkar for her services to the Indian theatre and cinema at the annual memorial day function of Late Master Deenanath Mangeshkar.
The award consisted of a memento and a cash prize. This trophy was presented to Aamir Khan last year apart from other stalwarts who bagged awards in other categories.
This was the 68th year of commemoration of Deenanath Mangeshkar’s memorial day and is being celebrated since his demise by Lata Mangeshkar and family.
Must be a real high for Kajol to receive this award, for its significance was acknowledged by even the ‘perfectionist’!
