Feroz Khan passes away

Feroz KhanVeteran actor and film-maker Feroz Khan breathed his last breath late Sunday night at his Bangalore residence. The 70 year old actor was battling cancer for over a year.

Feroz Khan is survived by his two children actor Fardeen Khan and daughter Laila.

Known as a flamboyant ladies man, his first big hit was the 1965 film Onche Log followed by several other hits like Tasveer, Qurbani, Yalgaar, Janbaaz, Rani Aur Lalpari, Khhotte Sikkay and off late in films like Janasheen, Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena and most recently Welcome.

He also appeared in an English-language film Tarzan Goes to India in 1962 opposite Simi Garewal.

The actor was born in Bangalore on Sep 25, 1939.

As recognition to his contribution to Indian cinema, Feroz was conferred with several awards including the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000 and the Zee Cine Awards Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008.
