Cannes International Film Festival kicks in from the 11th of May and goes all the way uptill 22nd. Bollywood stars such as Aishwarya Rai, Sonam Kapoor and Freida Pinto are set to make their presence felt at the big event. The three gorgeous Indian women will be appearing on the red carpet as ambassadors for L’Oreal Paris. It is the first time that L’Oreal Paris will have 3 spokeswomen representing India at Cannes! It is needless to say all eye balls will be stuck at the reigning queens of beauty and style who will be representing India at the international event. All three of them are unique in their own way so there is surely a lot we can expect to observe from their style to the fashion trends they establish at the Red Carpet this season. For Aishwarya this is her 10th year at the Cannes this time and Freida Pinto has already acquired a fair amount of recognition at the international level but for Sonam it is her first time at the Cannes. Sonam is undoubtedly one of the best dressed actresses in Bollywood or for that matter in the country and her fans can’t wait to see what she wears at the Cannes Red Carpet.
Ash has always stuck to her classy style and unique taste of clothes at the Cannes over the past years. But Sonam, who has been tagged the ‘most stylish’ by fashion experts in India, is sure expected to bring out something different.
Sonam Kapoor will dazzle at the Cannes Red Carpet on the 15th May and her fans are extremely curious to know what she will be wearing. Said a friend, "Sonam is all set to sport a vintage look at Cannes 2011. She swears by vintage clothing and she is thinking about sporting the 20’s & 50’s look. Also she won’t be wearing Indian clothes at the red carpet, no saris and no anarkalis for Sonam. She has few designers in mind like Valentino, Roberto Cavalli and Indian designers like Anamika Khanna and Masaba Gupta. She would be zeroing in on her final outfits soon."
Sonam Kapoor said, "It has always been my dream to walk the red carpet at Cannes and it is soon going to be a reality thanks to L’Oreal Paris. I look forward to meeting actors and film makers from the world over and attending screenings of some interesting films. But what excites me the most is meeting the L’Oreal Paris international dream team of make-up artistes and seeing how they transform me for one of the most glamorous red carpets in the world."
