British beauty Kate Winslet has replaced Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie as the face of fashion brand St John. The ‘Titanic’ star has already posed for a series of advertising images which will appear in magazines next season onwards. Jolie who was the face of the brand for five years was replaced because she "overshadowed the brand". Winslet has been a face of Lancome since 2007 and became a brand ambassador for Swiss watchmaker Longines last year. Though St John said that the end of Jolie’s tenure was amicable, sources claim that the star "had issues" with the dresses she was required to wear.As the new face of St John, Winslet is in good company. Among the label’s model alumni are Gisele Bundchen, Kelly Gray and Liya Kebede.Meanwhile Jolie has secured a reported USD 10 million deal to be the new face of Louis Vuitton.
