
Diana worked in a few Bollywood projects like "Ab Bas!" and "Tehzeeb" and now she is working with TV actor Karan Singh Grover in a new film called "Lorie", which is being directed by Pavan Kaul. "Coincidentally, the movie too will be released in September and all I can say right now is that I loved the script and decided to be a part of it. It is based on a real-life story," she said.
After making an appearance in the second season of reality show "Bigg Boss" (2008), she had been dormant of sorts. Was it a deliberate attempt to stay away from the limelight? "I was never keen on Bollywood. I am a very simple and direct person and all I want is to be happy. I love writing and that is what I was doing when I was not in the arclights," she said.
"I am not here to please anyone or compete with anyone. I am here because I am busy doing things that make me happy. I have always believed that life is short and one should enjoy it fully, that is what I am doing," she added.
Today, winning a beauty pageant is considered the short-cut to Bollywood. So, does she feel that this diverts the focus of the winners? "I think we are very spoilt. If you look at the winner’s list, we are one of the highest title-holder winners. So I think this should be appreciated rather than putting too much pressure on the contestants," she said.
