Sonam Kapoor may have taken up a daring profession but she is still the quintessential Indian girl at heart. The actress, like any other simple Indian girl, just couldn’t bring herself to shoot an intimate scene in front of her father, Anil Kapoor. Sonam Kapoor was shooting a love-sequence for ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ with Samir Dattani when Anil Kapoor dropped in. The embarrassed girl just couldn’t carry on with the shoot and requested the director Punit Malhotra to help her out.Sources say that Anil Kapoor’s visit was perhaps calculated as there are rumours of flowering romance between Sonam and the director Punit Malhotra. And the moment Anil made an entry, Sonam turned self-conscious as she happened to be shooting a candlelight dinner scene at a suburban sea-facing lounge.
A source said, "The crew was teasing Sonam about Anil’s probable appearance at the shoot and wondering if she would be able to carry off the scene in front of him. Sonam was confident that she could."
But Sonam’s confidence gave away in front of her father and she could shoot her scenes only after papa Kapoor left the sets.
Samir Dattani confirmed, "Mr Anil Kapoor did drop in on the sets while I was shooting with Sonam. It was a pleasure to have him there."
