Aamir Khan has certainly proved that being an ‘Idiot’ surely pays, for the actor has emerged the smartest and the richest ‘Idiot’ who has become the only Indian actor to have bagged a whopping sum of money for an advertisement deal. The actor who has been laughing all the way to the bank ever since his film ‘3 Idiots’ went to become the top grossing Indian film of all time has now got yet another reason to celebrate.Signing a stupendous deal for Rs 35 crores with the new telecom entrant, UAE’s Etisalat, Aamir has landed the biggest endorsement deal in Indian advertising history.
Confirms a source, “Aamir has become the only Indian actor to have been paid such big bucks. The deal had been on for long but it was only recently that the entire plan was finalised.”
The actor who is already a successful brand ambassador for several companies like Parle, Coca-Cola, Tata Sky and Samsung has now added yet another name to his endorsement kitty.
And even though many say that it is his recent hit that has got him the deal, sources state that the deal was inked before the film released.
