Cheryl Cole is getting rid of gifts that her soon-to-be-ex-husband Ashley bought her during their marriage.

The 26 year old, Girls Aloud star, is believed to have given away thousands of pounds worth of gifts – including jewellery from her love-rat hubby.

Unwanted necklaces, earrings and bracelets were dished out to her pals and mum Joan during a recent girl’s night in.

Cheryl has given away a diamond heart pendant.

Cheryl has had a massive clear-out, like anyone would after a break-up. A load of jewellery, especially earrings and necklaces, some of which were bought for her by Ashley, were thrown into the tidy-up.

"She didn’t even like a lot of the pieces as they’re not her style, far too bling.

"Even the bits she does like, she doesn’t want to wear them, although she has held on to her wedding ring.

She has closed that chapter of her life so she wants rid of a lot of the things they have accumulated.

The singer launched divorce proceedings against the Chelsea and England defender, Ashley, last week.

Celine Dion pregnant again with twins

Celine Dion’s struggle to have one more baby has more than paid off. She’s pregnant with two.

Publicist Kim Jakwerth told that the 42-year-old Canadian songstress is 14 weeks pregnant with twins, and she plans to find out the sex of the babies next month.

Dion and her husband and manager Rene Angelil have one son, 9-year-old Rene Charles.

She had undergone several rounds of in-vitro fertilization in an attempt to get pregnant again.

Dion is working on new albums in English and French, and returns next year to Las Vegas for a three-year residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Singer Mariah Carey has dropped out of her latest movie, Tyler Perry’s adaptation of Ntozake Shange’s 1975 play "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf," just days before filming was scheduled to begin, fueling rumors that she is pregnant.

"She is not doing the movie because her doctor advised her not to," said her representative. "More than that I cannot comment further."

Earlier this month, Cannon had hinted that a baby is not out of the question after sometime.

"Her schedule is starting to calm down, you never know”, said her rep. "In the next year or two, the rumors might come true."

Hollywood legend Matrin Scorsese has been disarmed by the charms of ex-Miss World Aishwarya Rai at Cannes, for the celebrated filmmaker is all set to cast the beauty in his next directorial venture.

Why Deepika wore a saree at Cannes?

As a starry-eyed teenager, she wanted to represent her country at an international event, wearing the national costume. On her very first red carpet appearance at the Cannes International Film Festival, actress Deepika Padukone did just that and with style that wowed one and all.

"Long ago, when I had started modelling I had promised myself that whenever I attend an international event I’d wear a saree because I’d rather represent my country in the national costume than in western clothes. I get enough opportunities at home to wear western clothes. When I’m seen at an international event, I’d rather be fully Indian," Deepika said.

The 24 year old, who attended the event as the face of liquor brand Chivas Regal, opted for a Rohit Bal - off white, slightly embroidered saree with touches of gold.

When told that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wore a gown, Deepika said: "I wouldn’t like to comment on others. Speaking for myself, I find the saree very Indian and yet very sensuous. I wore an off-white Rohit Bal creation on the red carpet. It felt good to be so Indian so far away from home."

Deepika had reportedly made discreet inquiries about what Aishwarya would wear before deciding on her own look. The 36-year-old "Cannes regular" looked great this year in a violet blue fully embroidered tulle and mousseline gown from Lebanese designer Elie Saab.

Deepika’s two-day whirlwind tour to the Cannes Film Festival also included sight-seeing. On day two of her trip, she took off on her own to take in the sights and sounds of the scenic seaside town.

"There’s so much to Cannes besides the festival. In fact, the first time when I came to Cannes in 2002, I was here not for the festival but as a tourist. I remember I had stood outside the venue of the Cannes film festival and taken pictures. I had promised myself that next time I’d be back as part of the festival and here I am," she said.

According to Deepika, the best thing about the event was the fact that there was unconditional acceptance for Indian cinema.

"Here at Cannes, they aren’t looking at me or anyone else from Bollywood as oddities. Even if I was in a saree, I didn’t feel marginalised or ethnic. I felt at home!"

Lily Allen denies pregnancy rumours

She has made public her desire to have a baby, but pop star Lily Allen has denied that she is already pregnant with her first child.

The rumours began when the ‘Smile’ hitmaker was spotted shopping at a pharmacy, sporting a visible bump beneath her loose-fitting top.

But the 25 year old has confirmed that there is no bun in the oven yet.

"I am not pregnant FYI," tweeted Allen. She had earlier vowed to give up her music career for five years because she wants to start a family with boyfriend Sam Cooper, a painter and decorator.

"I’d like to have a child within a year. It’ll be a minimum of four or five years before I make a record again," she had said recently.

Despite being one of UK’s most successful female artists, selling more than 2.4 million copies of her first album, Allen says the idea of settling down and having children is more of a priority.

She’s only been dating her 34 year old boyfriend for nine months but they are set to start trying for a baby right away.

"I’d want to be really hands-on for the first two or three years of having a little one. I don’t want to leave them," Allen said.

Mallika Sherawat plays with snake to promote Hisss at Cannes

She is known for her bold roles in films and now Mallika Sherawat is showing her bold avatar even in film promotions. The actress was seen posing with a live python to promote her snake film "Hisss" at the ongoing 63rd Cannes International Film Festival.

Dressed in a yellow and black dress, Mallika, who plays a snake woman in the film, attempted to handle a 22-foot python Sunday to promote the film at the Majestic Hotel in Cannes, France.

"All the Snakes have just entered the Majestic Hotel in Cannes! Hissstory is being made," Mallika posted on her Twitter page.

Directed by Jennifer Lynch and produced by Govind Menon and Vikram Singh Lamba of Split Image Pictures, the movie also stars Irrfan Khan, Divya Dutta and American character actor Jeff Doucette. It will be distributed by Venus Records and Tapes.

The actress also revealed the Indian release date of the film.

"The announcement was made at Cannes, ‘Hisss’ being released (in) India Independence Day (Aug 15)," she added on the micro blogging site.

Dutch supermodel Lara Stone has tied the knot with British comedian David Walliams.

Williams and Stone, who is 12 years his junior, got engaged in January. They had been dating for about a year.

Despite the recession, top models are raking in millions of dollars, with Brazilian Gisele Bundchen, German Heidi Klum and Briton Kate Moss the biggest earners.

Bundchen, the 29-year-old beauty who is married to football player Tom Brady is the world’s highest-paid model, making $25 million last year.

Klum, the 36-year-old mother of four and host of the television show Project Runway, came in second with $16 million in earnings, followed by fashionista Moss, also 36, who made earned $9 million, through modeling campaigns and the launch of her own fashion line and a new fragrance.

It is the second year the same three models topped the list, which is largely due to a risk-averse fashion industry that was not looking for new faces in the unstable economic climate, said Steve Bertoni, of Forbes.

"These contracts were written during the doldrums of the recession," Bertoni said. "So when companies decided on the faces of their campaigns, they wanted to play it safe," he said in an interview.

Another Brazilian, Adriana Lima, 28, came in fourth with a $7.5 million salary. Dutch model Doutzen Kroes, 25, who shot to fame in 2005 when selected "Model of the Year" by Vogue, placed fifth with $6 million.

"These are the tried and true supermodels of the last decade, the household names of the industry," Bertoni said.

The only American on the list is 36-year-old Carolyn Murphy, who is the face of Estee Lauder, Roberto Cavalli and Anne Klein. She earned $3.5 million to grab the 10th spot.

The list represents earnings made from June 2009 to July 2010.

There have been rumours about the splitting of Scarlett Jihansson and Ryan Reynolds but the actress Johansson and actor Reynolds are not splitting.

Johansson’s representative has termed it as a rumour and said there is "absolutely no truth to this".

British supermodel Kate Moss is trying hypnotic therapy to help her give up cigarettes so that she can start trying for a baby with her fiance, Kills rock band guitarist Jamie Hince.

Kate is aware that she smokes heavily and probably drinks a little too much. So she has been to see a Harley Street therapist to help her break those habits. Jamie is keen to start a family and Kate knows that it would be wise to try and conquer her vices before she gets pregnant again.

The 36 year old supermodel has a 7 year old daughter, Lila, from her past relationship with Jefferson Hack.

The hypnotic therapy has started showing positive results. She’s really been enjoying her sessions and has already begun to see the benefits.

Kajol trying best to hide baby bump

The actress was accompanied by her mother Tanuja. She looked lovely in a loose black dress, which she was wearing for obvious reasons. She was glowing. But she looked flustered as it was very hot. She kept munching biscuits and sipping juices to beat the heat.

American supermodel Marisa Miller has been named the ‘Sexiest Woman in the World’ by FHM.

The Victoria’s Secret Angel stole the global sexiest woman crown from last year’s winner Megan Fox.

The poll saw more than a million votes pour in from countries including the UK, USA, Australia, China, France, India and South Africa.

"Californian supermodel Marisa Miller has the kind of sun-kissed sex appeal that wows men all over the world,” said FHM UK Editor, Colin Kennedy.

Katy Perry tops the hottest woman list

Katy Perry has topped the annual Maxim Hot 100 list of the world’s hottest women, beating the likes of actress Megan Fox and reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

The “I Kissed A Girl” hitmaker - who is engaged to Russell Brand, narrowly beat Victoria’s Secret model Brooklyn Decker and ‘Avatar’ actress Zoe Saldana into second and third place respectively on the list.

Actress Isabel Lucas has been voted Australia’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity for 2010 by PETA.

Lucas went vegetarian after watching the documentary Earthlings at the home of Anthony Kiedis, the singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

And the actress insists that she doesn’t feel limited by her vegetarian diet.

"I eat lots of veggies and pasta and nuts, tofu and soups," said Melbourne-born Lucas.

Dannii Minogue too busy to marry

Australian pop star Dannii Minogue is too busy to marry Kris Smith this year, as she will be engrossed fulfilling her role as a first-time mother.

Dannii, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kris Smith, thinks the former rugby star will be the "perfect husband" but wants to focus on motherhood before walking down the aisle.

"He’ll be the perfect husband. We have talked about it, but this year is just hectic, it’s crazy. So there’s nothing planned. I never thought this would happen to me, it’s going to be such a big shock and a change," Dannii,- who was previously married to actor Julian McMahon, said.

"You think you’re going have it all under control, but your world goes upside down - in a good way. I’ll just be concentrating on being a mum. That’s what I’ll be focusing on," she added.
