When asked, Aamir Khan agrees to have been offered UTV's script, though he is yet to go through the same. "Yes, I did get the offer to play the legendary Kishore da in the biopic. I am yet to read the script," confirmed Aamir Khan. He also added, "I have always liked Kishore da's acting. I cherish his singing even today. After going through the complete script I will decide."
According to news doing the rounds of the industry, its not just UTV and Percept Pictures but even Nagesh Kukunoor, who is a fanatic fan of Kishore, is making a film on the multifaceted genius titled 'Bemisaal'.
But Kishore Kumar's wife, Leena Chandavarkar, is not very amused to hear of the other two projects. "How can so many biopics be made on my husband?," she shoots back. "It is his private life. We will not like anyone to present him wrongly. Though he is loved by everybody, this does not mean that just about anyone can make his biopic. Can anyone make a film on Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Saab without their prior permission?" she asks, adding firmly, "We are the family members and we have given the rights only to UTV. Shoojit Sircar will be directing the film."
Leena admits to have approached the versatile Aamir to play Kishore's role. "We did approach Aamir Khan. But as he is busy, he has not confirmed yet. We have decided to wait for him. After all it is the biopic of Kishore da. Such things are made only once in the life time. We would like to make his biopic only after everything falls into place," she concludes.
